I have utilized other fishing related apps, in the past but FishAngler has surpassed them all, in my opinion. I hear a lot of negative feedback from fishing professionals or fishing business operators, not wanting to share their catch locations. I TOTALLY GET IT! 👍🏽 But you don’t have too! Share as much information or as little as you choose. This app great in so many different ways. I’ve made fishing friends worldwide and I’ve learned about fishing locations and bodies of water, I never knew before. FishAngler is regularly updating, available features, as well! From current flow, to community content of shared underwater structures, tidal flow, fish catches per body of water and they even retain your posted catch information and so much more! How cool is that! No more forgetting lengths or weights! You can monitor your statistics constantly. There are even VIP benefits like industry discounts and so much more! I don’t want to sound like a bot writing this review but… this is AMAZING, its free, it tells you what species live in what bodies of water, if that body of water is public or not, and tells you what equipment people used to catch the fish. And there is a function in the menu called lookup species or something like that and you can search of species of fish or shark or whatever, and it will show you what to use, where to be, what style of fishing, and when to be there. It has forecasts for solunar activity(whatever that means(I think it has to do with the moon and the fish being more active on a certain cycle of the moon)) it shows temperatures of the water, the water current and tide, and basically everything you need to know to have the best chance of catching fish. Along with the social part of it where other positive fisherman are constantly congratulating you on your new catch through likes and comments, it’s literally fishtagram lol. Just an amazing app.(I’m not a bot I swear)

Can you add a feature or a “Return To Top” button within the feeds? In Instagram, when you hit the “Home” button, it automatically takes you up top and refreshes your feeds. In this case, make the “Feeds” button available at all times and allow it to do what the “Home” button does in Instagram after you hit it when already in feeds. Currently you have to scroll back up manually and if you’re deep within the feeds, it takes a lot of finger flickering to get to back yo the current and latest feeds. This is very annoying and discourages users from looking at older feeds & ads bc they don’t want the hassle of going too deep in the feeds then having to manually flick a dozen times just to refresh the feeds.

It’s like Facebook for Anglers! I love seeing everyone’s catches! I’ve met several local anglers on this app and as a result made several great friends. You can log your catches. It’s a great feature that logs the picture of your catch, the GPS location, the weather conditions, water conditions, and even what bait or lure you used. My favorite feature is the forecasting. You can enter the body of water you’re fishing... or one that’s close to the one you’re fishing... and it will tell you the peak times of the day to go fish. The forecasting feature helps be more effective and efficient by going fishing at the optimal time of each day. If you like to fish... you need to join the rest of us on here! You’ll love it!

I originally downloaded this app after one of my friends taught me how to fish for the first time, as we thought it would be a fun way to log our catches and talk with each other. I had only logged two catches (all received positively even getting left a comment by the fishangler official account) when I was left a comment accusing my account of being “not real” purely because I am a woman. This shocked me and made me very upset, and while I told this commenter I was in fact a REAL WOMAN not ai or some stock image like they were thinking, I was notified my account had gotten banned. You can see how this was very disrespectful and disgusting by part of the fishangler team. I have sent TWO emails regarding my ban and have yet to hear back at all. This app seemed like so much fun and I was so exited to meet new people and fish with my friend, but this event completely puts me off. So keep this as a warning for any woman wanting to get this app, and maybe reconsider! Very disappointing and sad.

After years, I finally have an app on my phone that totally enjoy. First, I am able to target location and species I want to follow. I can see exact location where the catch was made and all weather and tide conditions. Since I am moving soon, I can get a real feel for the local action that (at best) a weekly or monthly fishing report could never provide, and in real time. As a fisherman I can also roam anywhere on the globe and see what other fishermen are catching. How cool is that? For me, very. I applaud the creators of this app, they are attentive to users requests for features, and (at time of this review) not flooded with pesky ads that ruin the user experience.

The app is subpar nothing spectacular in my opinion, lots of things don’t need to be on it and things need to be added. First issue, I live in Texas I have my location set to Texas, yet I’m getting notifications in local for other states I don’t care about. Next when I want to look at the map I takes me to Mexico so I have to scroll around and find the body of water I am looking for. Then there is the catch locations, I honestly do not care to know what was caught in 2014. The structures, water levels, even buildings and platforms have moved changed or are no longer there. Next, I should be able to search by year, species, and or weather conditions to better get an idea as how I should fish. I would also like to know what the water clarity and depth of the area is like. I feel that I can get better information from google maps than from this app.

This app has everything in one! From where to find fish, to what fish will likely be there, to what to use to catch each fish, to the best times to go there, and even photos of what people have found in each location. It’s literally a one stop place for all…and it is SUPER easy to use! That and I found it to be very affordable. Instead of paying over $20 a month the app charges a yearly $50 fee-which I feel is more the fair in comparison to many other apps. If you all don’t believe me, check out the competition. This one is without a doubt for the win!

These folks have it figured out! After using the competing app for over 5 years and amassing a following of nearly 5k anglers, I grew increasingly frustrated with glitches on that platform preventing me from posting catches for sometimes weeks on end. That’s when I found this app and have been posting issue free for some time now. I love the functionality and the user base is very positive and passionate about our sport! Great app and I look forward to being a part of this growing online community!

Seems like I’m the only person that has problems with this app. It’s free and a great idea for an app but I always have some issue with it. A couple of my new issues is that if you delete pictures from your phone it effects the pics in the app... Why does my following feed have a bunch of random people I don’t follow? When posting catches and putting in the weather they are always pre set and completely wrong so why not leave them blank and let me put in the right weather? There is probably more that I’m forgetting about but.... Don’t get me wrong the app is great and you should download it, it just needs improvements!
