Ratings and Reviews
it hooked me...
i got curious from all the dumb mobile ads so i went to see what this game was all about. i’m not usually a huge fan of match-3 games: they’re usually boring, too easy, or too hard. this game is actually unique and balanced enough to keep my interest—for 1500 levels so far! there are many different game mechanics, and the look of it all is very clean and satisfying (i once saw an older video of the game where the match-3 graphics looked horrible, so thank you developers for updating that)
harder levels can be frustrating and often take a fair amount of luck to beat, but I’ve never been stuck for too long, except for maybe 4 or 5 levels that i had to play like over 20 times. the rush when you finally beat it though, is worth it. the power ups are given pretty sparsely so i’m pretty conservative with them, but i usually have them when i need them for hard levels, though a few times I’ve run empty on a hard level and had to wait for my luck to pull through. the limited lives system doesn’t bother me because it keeps me from playing for too long, plus there are ways you can get infinite lives for some time.
i really like the different themed fish tanks you can unlock, they are fun to decorate and it gives you a more tangible goal to work towards. i will admit if you’re here for the mini games you see in mobile ads, you will be disappointed. they are rare and very poorly made... but they’re also not the real game, so i’m not going to take any stars off for that.
Another hooked player
Got it for my grandson, kept it for myself.
After seeing so many ads for the mini games on other games I play I thought I’d download the game for my 4-year-old grandson to let him play on my phone when he wanted some entertainment, but discovered that it is a completely different type of game than advertised and it was too advanced for him to set up. He couldn’t possibly take care of the aquariums and fish regularly so I worked on getting it put together for him, thinking that the mini games would eventually show up. However, they are very rare and nothing like the ads depict them. It’s become my game and he sticks with more simple ones on my phone.
In the time I spent putting the aquariums together by working on the levels, I got hooked (pun intended.) I’ve been playing for about a month and enjoy it for the most part. I am glad that all of the levels, so far, have been beatable with or without the extras. It may take a long time to get through some of the levels (not all of them are rated properly IMHO - many aren’t marked as ‘Hard’ or ‘Super Hard’ when they actually are) but it is all game play, one way or another. I’m quite stingy in game play with my power ups and still only have one of each at most times. I’ve also spent money on the diamonds and an adventure pack, which I never do, but I really do enjoy the game and have “bonded” with most of my fish in the multiple aquariums.
We love this game
Me and my husband play every night, for years! I see a lot of people kinda stuck on tanks, so I’m a nice person and figured I’d leave some valuable information. First of all, you only need to put in just enough coins for 3 stars per tank! After you get the 3 stars, go to next tank, and so on. Also, I purchase all the fish that my tank will hold before decorating simply bc you feed them fish daily and get coins. Then I save my coins and purchase the highest decoration available. You can also go back in the decorations and use any decoration that’s unlocked. This is helpful in purchasing the most expensive decoration so your tank isn’t so cluddered with meaningless junk. Additionally you can pile any amount of the same expensive decoration together so it’s not cluddered as well.
As far as money, you don’t have to spend to pass levels. I have over 100 of each booster, and I use my diamonds for the hammers, gloves, and torpedos. You can purchase diamonds tho. Look at it like this, don’t you purchase things in everyday life to make you happy? This is no different. It’s a choice. However, be warned! If you purchase diamonds, the ads that you get will become non existent for quite some time. If you do not purchase diamonds, you should receive your 3 ads every few hours daily.
I really hope this honest review helps.
