Good connection with possible inaccuracy
I bought the scale at my local TJmaxx and downloaded the app with ease. My iPhone 6s connected with the scale with no problem at all. You need to go through the app with your Bluetooth on, press the top right button in the homepage of the app and step on the scale. It calculated it pretty accurately but it says my body fat percentage was 28% which is not at all true. My height is 5ft 3 in , weight is 186, and measurements for waist is 38 in , hips 42 in which would make my body fat percentage close to 30 to 40 percent. So I’m confused wondering if it’s on a different setting or calculation something else.
Worked perfectly for three weeks. No problems connecting. Most of the “non-weight” readings were way off, but I really just wanted to keep up with my weight. All of a sudden, despite the accurate weight reading on the scale, the app has decided that I weight between 8lbs - 8.4lbs. I reset my Bluetooth, rebooted my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled the app, and created an entirely new account... apparently the all still thinks I weigh 8.4lbs. At least the scale itself is measuring my weight accurately. There’s just, all of a sudden, a communication issue between the scale and the app. Very disappointing, as I paid a bit more for a scale with Bluetooth connectivity. Unless they fix the issue... I guess I’ll have to manually enter the data into my phone’s own health app. Should’ve saved a few bucks and just bought a regular ol digital scale.
Besides correcting this connectivity issue... I wish there was an option to edit recorded measurements. For example... have the option to override the weight readings, in order to either delete or correct them.
Thirdly... I couldn’t find a “help” or “troubleshooting” option anywhere within the app menu. There may be such a source online, but if so... a link from the app shouldn’t be too much to ask for.
Connection does not work well
I really love the idea of the app and the scale. I was very excited to try it but every time I try to connect the app freezes or will not connect with my scale. It does nothing when I press on the buttons in the app.
Luckely I can still see my weight on the scale itself so until they fix the connection I’ll use the scale like a normal one without the app.
