At first I didn’t know how to use this app, I started working out and these kind of apps with motivation makes me work out more and try to get to 1 year streak. This app can link to strava without actually linking it. Even though I try to use this app for running I don’t really understand it, so I use strava for running and it gets easily transferred to fito which is awesome because I don’t need to link it like strava or other apps. I really recommend this app and ofc if you’re wondering, no it’s not ai made or ai first but who cares it’s hecka amazing.
This is exactly the Duolingo-like app I need to encourage myself to exercise, but it is far from the feature set needed to be effective. This app does not send you scheduled reminders (like Duolingo does), which to me defeats the purpose of an app like this — I am using it with the intention of making it a part of my routine, but I can’t do that if I don’t remember I even have the app. As someone who isn’t glued to their phone screen all day to pay attention to the “expressions” in a widget, this app won’t work for me.
I got this app because it was advertised as Duolingo but for working out, and I enjoy the streak aspect of Duolingo. Part of Duolingo’s bit is threats as you get closer to the end of the day. The threats on Duolingo is playful, however this app is not. My current threat is one that states “Do or die” and it has the mascot with a noose dangling beside it. It makes me uncomfortable opening an app and seeing a joke about hanging. To add insult to injury I’m also Black and it worsens the hanging joke. I’m going to request a refund because I do not want to entertain an app that thinks that this is okay.

To start, I absolutely LOVE the look and feel of this app. It’s nice, vibrant, and fun to use and look at (plus the mascot bear is adorable). The foundation of this app is great and I can totally see it getting big. I only have a few complaints/desires when it comes to how I’m able to track my exercises…Things I feel this app needs:• More exercise options! I regularly rollerblade as a form of cardio, and to my surprise, there was no rollerblading or inline skating option when it came to tracking. The closest I could find was “snow skating”, which is not representative of the exercise I was actually doing.• Different calorie-burn tracking methods. It seems that the amount of calories the app says you’ve burnt is based off of time, not intensity or distance, etc. I feel like there should be a more efficient way of tracking this. For example, if I’m jogging at 4-5 mph, I’m not getting the same results as if I were sprinting at 9-10 mph.• The ability to add our own gym plans. Instead of just selecting “strength training”, it would be nice to be able to input each exercise that we’re doing at the gym, and being able to cross or check them off as we go throughout our sets. This is motivating for me personally, as I like to physically see the progress I’m making as I go through the workout. This app is good so far and I have high hopes for it, I just think a few tweaks like this would make it more user friendly

I was excited to download this app and try it. It has similar features to Duolingo, helping you keep streaks through the cute widgets, achievement cards, recording your exercises, and the feature to connect to your health app. However, when trying to manually enter your workouts it forces you to go through your health app for progress, and it only records based on time. It doesn’t count speed or aggressiveness of the workout, and all of these things can be improved. I personally do not use my apple watch or carry my phone on me while working out. The health app therefore wouldn’t be accurate. Another suggestion I have to follow the duolingo path is to have units/levels that you can go through. Your daily lesson/workout would include tasks according to your goals + level. Having that option would engage gym goers as well as it would make the workouts fun and measurable.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I am a huge fan of duolingo as it keeps my habits up daily and this is exactly that for fitness. My mental tracker is not the most accurate and Fito keeps me honest about how many times I worked out this week. So if I’m lagging behind, I know I have to hit the gym on Friday and Saturday to keep up the week streak!! I kind of wish the bear was more angry at me more often rather than at the end of the week. Please tell me how to configure it that way!
