I use the app all the time to scan scratch offs and draw games, usually Powerball or Jackpot. I noticed yesterday that scanning a Fantasy 5 ticket (which I don’t play very often) doesn’t work. Nothing happens. I tried several times, and finally ended up deleting the app and reinstalling the newest version today. The app still does nothing when attempting to scan a Fantasy 5 ticket. I tested it on a Powerball ticket and the scanner worked. Please do some in-house testing on all the draw games to make sure that the scanner is working as expected.

The app is OK. It can be laggy and it crashes about 50% of the time. A feature that needs to be added is barcode scanning of tickets. Big time.

Edit: Ticket barcode scanning is here! It works well most of the time, it can be very “quick” sometimes and scan too early so it misses part of the barcode and you have to rescan. A little annoying but nothing too terrible. Lately I’ve been having issues scanning Cash 4 Life and Mega Millions tickets (version 2.1.7), they seems to always come back and unable to scan or invalid and I’m told to see a lottery retailer to scan them. Not sure if with the changes to the games and additions of new one if some things got a little out of whack. Either way, it’s a good app and works well most of the time.

When picking numbers for the pick 3 draw game, the total of the ticket is wrong. Why? If I pick 248, $1 combo, this ticket costs $6. If I pick 223, $1 combo, this ticket costs $3. No matter what numbers I choose to complete the play slip, the total of that playslip is wrong. Also, it would be nice to be able to purchase pick 3 online. But if you all can’t get the app to run smoothly, there is little to no confidence that you all could create a play online portal.

Lastly, the My Favorites (MF) need major improvements. It’s so basic it’s worthless. You don’t see any information about the MF that was created other than the first number played! Why not show if the MF is midday or evening? The cost? Why do I have to create a MF for midday and one for evening? For example, I play the same numbers. I create a MF for midday. I go purchase my midday tickets. Now, I would like to play evening. Same numbers. Now I have to create another MF for evening AND I have to make sure to give the retailer the right MF! Or I have to delete one of the MF making sure I delete the right one!

I completely understand why so many people dislike the app. It’s not user friendly. Come on FL lottery, you can do better!
