Flasky: Liquor Recommendations 17+

Not just a source for basic drink recipes, Flasky can guide you through the entire process of creating a drink themed to any event or occasion. You can suggest any topic of interest, and Flasky will not only come up with a recipe, but recommends specific brands, and leads you where to purchase them nearby, all within the same conversation and without leaving the app. Flasky never loses focus, and also wishes you well with words of encouragement. It’s like having a bartender friend who not only knows recipes, but is also creative and knowledgeable of your specific location. Highly recommend!

Perhaps Flasky was never intended to answer such a broad question, but it failed rather miserably. I asked for a list of all craft distilleries in my state. The answer included 3 that are active, 1 that has yet to ship a bottle, and one in a nearby state. I then asked for information about a distillery I know to be in my state, and got decent info, even though that distillery had not been included in Flasky’s first answer. I asked the first question again, and got the same 4 in-state answers, but the fifth one was in yet another state. I re-phrased the question, saying ‘within xx miles’ instead of ‘in my state’, and got a list of (mostly) breweries. Bottom line, I learned nothing, except that there’s a distillery nearby that is not yet shipping product. Four stars instead of two because I understand my questions may be beyond the current scope if this very new - and promising - app.

I've already learned so much from this app! It's almost like talking to a real expert and it's really fun to see what Flasky comes back with. I tried a few unique cocktails created by Flasky (using bottles and ingredients I already had at home) and they were great!
