If you find yourself tossing out stacks of magazines and newspapers you’ve saved just to read one article, Flipboard can help organize your reading materials and clean off your cluttered coffee table in the process. Download it and go through a series of categories (health, travel, fashion, movies, etc.) to pick the ones that most interest you.
Love the app and the various news sources/feeds it recommends, based on what I read. Edit on Nov 22, 2025 - The issue below has been fixed for a while. Adding back the star. ——-Removed one star because it doesn’t resume where I left off when I switch back to the app (say after pressing the Home button) so need to flip all the way thru articles I’ve read to get to where I was. Wish the app could remember where I left it and just resume at that article.
Thanks for the feedback. We understand that losing your place can be frustrating. For now, Flipboard will update with the latest stories when returning. A workaround is saving the story to a Read Later magazine before exiting. For help, please contact us inside the app's Settings, Help & Feedback.
I have been using this app and it has a great variety of sources and good tools to filter out junk sources that just want to push advertising or clickbait. BUT, this app is starting to push its own advertising much more aggressively without user input which is highly frustrating. This is making me consider switching to another news feed platform
I am upgrading my original 1-star review to a 5-star now that the Flipboard team has kindly made me aware of the “Reader View” selection at the top of each article. Now I can actually enjoy the news content provided by this app without the obnoxious and continuous intrusions of advertisements.
Hi, the pop-ups are out of our control since you are on the sources site, but you can use the in-app reader mode feature to hide them. Just tap the icon on top of the article. Contact us at flip.it/help for further assistance.
I’ve been using this app since well before Apple News was introduced. It’s insightful, easy to customize, and it provides a continuous flow of articles and news. I does require some adjustments to fine-tune the news it displays, as it tends to lean a bit too far left by default(?).
Whether it's checking for timely news or delving into thoughtful personalized subjects Flipboard never disappoints . Only downside is that too many 'must read' offerings are 'must subscribe first'. But with all the sumptuous reading choices it provides it never fails to satisfy
I have enjoyed Flipboard since, well, maybe the beginning. The email feed with selected articles leads me deeper into my favorite subjects. In my daily routine, this added efficiency exposes me to info I am interested in (after all, I did specify the topic categories) without having to hunt it down. This broadens my reading horizons. My only complaint is linking to articles that I am not a subscriber to read and Flipboard does not offer specific article links for free. I guess these links may entice me to subscribe if I discover a new (to me) publication that I really like.
