It’s complicated if you don’t know
My first time using this app was for my online art class, and even though I hate taking videos of myself, I was more worried about how to use it. The good thing was we were given examples of users demonstrating how to properly share, cut, and comment on others uploads, but I know not everyone might get the head start. I thought it was just a let-me-upload-like-i-do-on-Snapchat kind of thing and it wasn’t. So for a recording app, it’s not bad, but for school purposes, it’s stupid. But then again, what would you use it for?
Really, really, really broken
How anyone thought this was 5 star material is insane. Half the time the videos don’t even upload, making me record the video for the 8th time before maybe, possibly, it could upload. There’s practically nothing explained, and I feel like I’m missing out on multiple features. Also, the time limit. Why in the world do you have a time limit? It limits what someone can say most of the time. At this point just recording a standard video on your phone is better. I really don’t know why anyone would try to defend it, nothing about it is redeemable in the slightest. If it can’t even be used properly, I don’t think that it should stay on the App Store until it’s fixed. Also, why even have a website if you can’t even record the video on it? It shouldn’t exist either, if it serves no purpose. Also (this isn’t the app) this would be a fantastic place to complain about it. On a review for the app.
Stop complaining and hating
If you are a student and feel uncomfortable doing videos and seeing yourself with your classmates, talk to your teacher. This is not the site or space to do that. On the other hand, would you rather do a face to face presentation, standing in front of the class? The reality is, you will sometime in your future or career be required to speak publicly, there’s no getting away from this. So, a video recording allows you to rehearse, re-do, until you master it. FaceTime, Skype, Marco Polo, etc. Even interviewing or attending conferences will require videos... it’s a rock in the middle of the road you can’t get over or get across. This technology, is your generation and your doing. Reap what you sown.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
