Challenging workout; need more explanation

I’ve had my reformer board and app for about 2 weeks now. I am enjoying the challenging workouts and I’m looking forward to seeing the results. The workouts and instruction leave me wanting, though. The workouts should be organized by beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I am new to this whole Pilates thing and have difficulty following the workouts since the instructors don’t give a lot of instruction (ex: they should say which side of the reformer to stand on, which leg to use, etc). There are breaks built in, but sometimes there is no audio cue for this, only the visual and if you can’t see your device, then you don’t know it’s happening. With that, I am always having to move my phone around to see the screen depending on where I need to place myself on the board, so that’s annoying as oftentimes I am holding my phone, while trying to figure out what I’m supposed to be doing, and when I need to break. It makes for a very frustrating and confusing workout at times. Overall, I am liking it and I am happy with my purchase, but more guided instruction (including ways to modify, which leg to use, what you should be doing) continual throughout the workout should be added. Keep all levels of ability in mind and support them all.

Poor execution

The reformer itself isn’t really what I expected. The resistance is fixed so you can’t adjust which as a beginner to Pilates… isn’t great. I didn’t realize that about it. I think it otherwise has potential once I get the hang of it so I don’t think I’ll try to totally return it but I’m not sure. The app is a complete flop and the interface is pretty bad. There’s not even a place in your profile to view or manage your subscription and I’ve reached out to the company because I’m concerned about this and I haven’t heard back. The website has no way to log into account either and there’s no customer support. You just have to leave a message or email them and so hopefully they get back to me about the app and subscription because currently as it stands, I couldn’t even cancel if I wanted to. To me…. It turns out the whole package was a little bit too good to be true. The app needs so much work. It’s almost like they launched everything before they were ready. There’s only like 10 videos on the app. I think there’s better options out there, including maybe just paying for a studio.

On another note, the videos are not even that great, basically what a lot of people mention here- someone takes off doing exercises and doesnt give to time to set up between exercises or explain how to set up.

Updated: if I could give zero stars I would. Now they have changed the app and force you to buy a membership even if you bought the board and full access to the app. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR REFUND. ONLY 4 PROGRAMS. COMPLETE WASTE! Use FitOn instead which is completely free and tons of different programs with varying levels and extremely user friendly, unlike Flo Pilates.Bought the board and full access to the app. So far I have access to 3 programs, 14 day, 21 day and glute challenge. No other workouts. It skipped days in the 14 day challenge. Contacted app support and was told “thanks for your patience we are always trying to add new content”. So basically I paid $150 for a board and unlimited access to an app that is useless. Also the challenge itself needs work…there should be time during the “break” where the instructor tells you what is coming up next in case you need to make adjustments to your board so you don’t have to keep pausing and figuring out the set up. Very annoying and disappointing.
