FluvalSmart 4+

I have been using Fluval lights for quite some time, starting with the fluval 2.0 and if the constant thing is that in case of power failure, the light does not keep any setting, you must reconnect with the app or it stays at night setting. Now this app comes about 10 years after the first Fluval app and there is one important setting missing: the global brightness cannot be adjusted!!! You must adjust each light channel individually which is ridiculous. Another missing feature is the settings not being sync in the cloud, if I connect with my iphone, then my ipad or my iMac M3, the settings are not carried over and the light is reset to the newest settings stored on the last connected device. And the last missing feature which is advertised on Fluval website: the Plant nano 3.0 should have 3 habitat light presets which are nowhere to be found in the app.

I really like being able to control my light with my phone i just wish that the designers could put as much effort into their app as they do with their lights i have seen screens shots of aquatic intelligences, ecotechs and ONFs light app and its amazing it’s modern and sleek and inviting and makes FluvalSmart look like a inferior light because the way you guys set the app up looks like it’s been quickly thrown together with no effort put into it so pls like Revamp and renew the design because it would help to beat your competitors in the aquarium light business i love your lights just not the app plain and simple

Another thing is that you guys don’t respond to your comments in a professional way you just copy and paste the same phrase with your email and never actually address the feedback that you are getting for your app and are sweeping it under the rug and acting like the problems and even solutions that people give you for your app do not exist you guys should really pick it up because whenever I’m watching an aquascaping video i see the onf lights and the ai primes but never the Fluval lights I’m just saying if you guys listened to people you might be able to combat your corporate competition so please fix the app and it will probably give you guys a higher yearly revenue

Love the ease of controlling the light from my phone. That is, when it works. I’ve spent more time deleting then re-installing the app than I have enjoyed watching my fish!! There’s no way to bi-pass it- so, I’m stuck with it and that’s unfortunate for me, but, not so, for the company. They made their money and obviously, they have never read the reviews or simply don’t care. Otherwise, they would be working on a way to improve the existing one. Based on the star system of rating their product, a 2 star review is acceptable. The actual product, the light, is amazing. The different colors, the ability to program your own sequencing of a light show even including a lightening storm is truly amazing. If not for the on and off app, it would be a 5 plus star rating. STRIVE for that, PLEASE.
