  • Great - but room for improvement

    Captain Bang Bang

I really like this app. It's much more convenient than regular online banking. However, a few things could be done to improve it: a dedicated iPad version; adding the ability to purchase prepaid cellular data (who uses these apps? - we need data bundles and they're available via your online banking website. So it's a logical progression and I hope this functionality is coming. Also the ability to add or amend beneficiary payment notifications would be handy.A fantastic initiative from FNB. I'm so glad that I moved to FNB's superior service and left the other average, 'standard' bank's service behind :-).

  • App used to work great but now....

    Argggggghhhhh!

This app is frustratingly unreliable - today alone I have been unable to log on to pay December salaries despite attempting to open it every hour all day. Employees are going on the long weekend and into the holidays with salaries unpaid. It's unacceptable. I've been using this app since it was first offered and like most things FNB, it worked great until some months ago when all of a sudden it has required an inordinate amount of patience. It either opens (I'd say one time in five) or it doesn't (4/5) leaving you unable to bank at all on a handheld device - to further cripple one's access, trying to access through the main site via browser requires verification through the app. Which is not working! (see above). Would be really great to have this fixed please.

  • Multiple profiles

    Mafia69za

I enjoy the app and find it very useful when on the road. I spoke to someone about 2-3 years when the first app come out about multiple profiles. They agreed that it could work and that it would be as easy as just authorizing on each profile and you would which between. They said they would discuss with the dev team. I find this very frustrating that I have to have one profile on an iPad and on my phone. I know you can add the accounts on one profile. But I would like my business separate from my private. When is going to be possible to which?

  • Great functionality, what about the iPad?

    Charl E from SA

I've been waiting for this app to come for a long time and I must say that the functionality looks great from an iPhone perspective! My one gripe is that it is pitched as a tablet app as well, when in truth the iPad version is just the iPhone app in the iPhone emulator (which makes it look not great on the iPad). I'm looking forward to the iPad version (which with the extra screen real estate should give even more mind-blowing functionality) and being able to give it the overall five stars!!

  • Weekend transactions

Very good app and bank overall but when it comes to bank to mobile transactions over the weekend is where they draw the line, I swear I’ve been stuck several times trying to make transactions. I’m not sure if even our money goes to sleep I’m not sure but this needs to be worked on. I’ve been with FNB since they came to Zambia and this may be their only flaw.

  • Fantastic features lacking a tiny bit of UI polish

    Snorbaard

The FNB App us a shining example of a full-featured app, with just about everything I would need to do at my fingertips. I love almost every feature! Some glaring UI and design issues mar an otherwise fantastic app:- The login animation is unnecessary and wasteful. Worse, if you happen to be in poor data reception areas, the app hangs at the animation end, leaving you unable to even access the phone numbers. - I love the InContact notifications, but I would like customization options. At the moment I get three notifications for each transaction (email, SMS, in-app). An easier way to clean said notifications would also be fantastic - Support for iPhone 5's taller screen. - The app looks like an iPhone app, but does not feel like one (strange pauses and fade effects between tabs.
