Focus Traveller - Flow Timer 4+

Love this app!!!

My favorite focus timer app. The visualization of the journey and having a character on a journey with me is a great motivator and kinda works like body doubling for my ADHD. Well worth the subscription!

My only request? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us set a pomodoro timer with active focus timers followed by rest timers. I focus for the time then get off track when I have rest time because I can’t time that out. The camp scene after the journey would be a perfect place to have the rest timer. I’d love to preset 4 rounds of 25 min focus, 5 rest.

Also! Please let me pause! I don’t want to stop the journey then have to check how much time I did and adjust that when coming back. It’s a pain.

For the pomodoro mode, we are working on our way to there, in the mean while you may have to single tap on the focus screen to go to the campfire to rest. 🏕️

Flexible timer + keeps me off my phone

I love this app! It keeps me focused and off my phone (“deep focus“ mode). After a few days, I upgraded to the full subscription, and it's worth it. My favorite feature is that the timer counts up, so I can pause or end a session without losing credit for the focus time I've already put in. This removes the pressure of "all or nothing" timers that penalize you, which can be demotivating.

My only suggestion would be to add some variety to the app's design and soundscapes. For example, the Flora app offers new locations and islands to unlock and explore. Adding something similar to FocusTraveller, such as mountains or forests with distinct bird sounds or background animals, could keep users engaged and motivated while also preventing the app from becoming monotonous over time.

Perfect for body doubling and calm music

I adore this app! I love the group work feature, I love the recorded notebooks, and I love the intuitive user interface.
This app strikes just the right balance of enough features and gamification to make it interesting without over exaggerating the gamification into a distracting, unhelpful territory.
I think that this app works great even as just a pomodoro timer or a soundscape / white noise tool.
However, the feeling of being on a journey with a little digital avatar helps you feel not so alone and intimidated by your work— just as the character can and will reach the summit eventually, so too will you :)
