Icons are well executed but really more for children than adults. Banking, trucks, foods, coins, objects that would relate to adult tastes seem to be lacking.Also - no search to help limit your needed choices - you have to constantly scroll through the images field. I really do not see anything more than a bunch of icons that you need to scroll through to get your target image.So - nice imagery, geared to kids (which is fine if that is what was intended), more needed adult graphics for serious daily needs are recommended.

Quick & easy to use. Plus you can use your own pictures to paste to folders as well. Excellent product. THANK YOU for making it.I just lowered my Star rating from a 5 to a 4, because I went to make a cute CD with family files in several folders. I wanted to present the CD's to my family with all these cute & silly images on each folder. After I burned the CD I popped it in another computer and all the personalization THIS APP creates was GONE??? Am I doing something wrong? Or does this only work within the Mac Computer you originally have these fun folders made in? Very sad that it remains only personal entertainment to myself on my own computer. I can't share my creations with others. BUMMER other than that it is cool to have but simply for self gratification. If there is a way to actually SHARE my own images I post on the folders with others then I would return my star rating to a 5

It works as "stated" -- it makes changing a folder's icon easy and quick. It also allows you to use your own icon/image/photo to use a folder's icon.Now the downsides: why would I use this program to change a folder's icon with one of my own icons/images/photos when doing so requires more steps than how Mac's built-in Finder allows you to do it already...? (1. Right-click Folder. 2. Select Get Info. 3. Copy-and-Paste image on to folder icon that you see in the pop-up window.)Using the program, I have to navigate to where I have an image, select it, drag it to the Folders Icon program, and then follow the steps for using this program. And very disappointedly, the image I bring in to the Folders Icon library for using, does not stay in the library! So I can not add to the default library.I could live with the limitation of not being able to add icons to the Folders Icon library if I could "change libraries of icons." In other words, select my own icon storage folder from with the Folders Icon program and have it work just as seemlessly as the default library does.Lastly, there are no "filters" to search for a folder in the default library of icons.If all you want to do is to change folder icons to something in the default library and you have the time to scroll through the library any time you want to do so, then it works well. Nice programming in that regard!As it stands, I won't use the program until it develops a bit more and wish I had know the limitations before purchase.

This app is great, I was using another app called “Folder Magic” but it is no longer available in the app store, came across this one looking for another application for folders. Very simple instructions, do not over think the steps - choose your folder, drag the folder you want to change into the black box in the lower left corner of the app, and click done; its’s that simple. Needs a little work though, intermittently have to restart the app to change multiple folders, and sometimes have to restart the computer in order to see the folder changes. FYI: if you see that the folder doesn’t change immediatley, just restart your computer and the changes will be there.

I have purchased this app 2 times. I love the icon choices and it works simply. I used it to apply icons to several folders, then after I close the app it never works again. I contacted the developers twice when I purhased it a year or so again, but no response. I purchased it again and used on most of my folders. I just updated my Mac to 17.1.1 and all the folders reversed to blue again. I tried to make the app work again, but no luck.

I've been looking for a folder icon app to liven up my desktop and all my other folder apps don't work on Catalina. This is the only app I know that can change the shape of the folder along with the icon. Another reviewer was correct...they could use "categories" since there are so many choices.The choices are set icon- and shape-wise, but there are quite a few!

I found at first that the instructions were slightly vague. Once I had figured our that they wanted me to put my folder into the black box to recieve its artwork, then things got better. I don’t know if anything was changed from the older versions, I’m using 1.1.8, but perhaps a colored box around the area that I was to drag my folder into and instructions saying something, like drag folder inside red box might have been clearer even if not as graphically appealing in appearence.

I was looking for a way to make my desktop folders unique from one another. This is very easy to use and has a great selection of folders. My only suggestion would be to add a feature that allows you to select categories of folder (ex. landscapes, cartoons, etc). Scrolling through all the folders can be tedious.

I've only started using it today but it is super easy to use and they have a lot of folders to chose from. I just wish you could edit the color on the folder if you wanted more variety in color. Also when you have already changed a folder color and you go to change it again it bounces back to the previouse folder color you selected. What is up with that? Besides those 2 things I love it.

Lots of cool folders in the list, but some limitations to this app as well. (a) icons are low resolution. Try to enlarge the icon to 5 times the typical size and you’ll see a lot of pixelation. Probably does not create a full icn set. (b) Will not work on folders in network volumes despite full permissions in all other regards. Dropping your folder reveals the path which can be a little jarring as you expect to see the folder. That’s a minor quibble which is why I didn’t list that as ©. In other regards, the app seems to perform fine.

Having hundreds of folders everywhere on my computer has driven me crazy for years! This simple app is two steps: 1. find a Folder Icon you like 2. Drag your own boring folder into place and you are done!!! The most difficult part of this app is deciding which icon to use. I love it. Jude Hibler

The Software has potential, but it is not finished up to now. If you need pre-installed layouts it fine, but if you want to create your one skins, it’s not the solution for you. There ist no way to resize the picture you drag in to the folder. That means you have to create the perfect size of the picture before you drop it. I think it would be a nice addon if the picture could be flexible customized. But if you need folders out of the box without your personal touch then the app is fine.
