FolderToList automatically creates lists from selected folders. You can catalog a folder in your hard disk, or even an entire DVD, or an USB-stick.
You can choose to catalog only files, only folders or both. Moreover, you can choose to recursively list the files in the folders inside the parent one.
Added an option to export to CSV

Quick and easy
This little app does what it says almost instantly. Drag a folder into the window, a text list appears listing the contents of the folder. If you drag a second folder in, the new contents are appended to the previous list. Or you can close one list and start a new one. The text file saves in RTF, so you can open it in TextEdit.
I would like to see this app written to support Mac OS 10.4, since that is the OS running on my main archive Mac.
This is so very, very helpful! Many of my folders have a lot of files in them and a screen snap does not make a TEXT file.
I LOVE THIS UTILITY!!!
does what it says without bells and whistles...
The app does exactly what it claims. I did a whole 3Tb drive (folders and subfolders, no files) list wihtin 15-20 seconds. The output could be made prettier and more organized, it’s a bit barebone looking, but it does what I needed it to do: a list of folders and subfolders (and files if you want it to)
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
