Yeet
I had been looking through many rpg games that didn’t really impress me when I found Food Fantasy. Just by looking at the game I was astounded by the artwork, as it ties in each food soul’s personality, background, and history. Even though there are some irregularities (such as Tiramisu’s eyes) they usually pass unnoticed. The gameplay is also done very well, with fight scenes that will have you scrambling because one of your support food souls is taking too much damage, and cutscenes that show you a slowly unfolding story before your eyes. Although sometimes the game will lag a bit this may be due to my device. The game is constantly being updated which has been a blessing for me.
Although I just said that the game being updated was a blessing, there was a new update that must’ve bugged out or something, because it accidentally deleted all accounts on iOS devices. Sadly, because my account wasn’t linked I don’t think I’ll be able to get my account back.
This was probably just some bug or glitch so I don’t put it against the people who work on this game at all. They get 5 stars for having a game that has a very rich story with beautiful artwork.
Also yeah if I sound like a bot, I was trying to sound nice and formal and this is the first review I’ve ever made for a game.
Above all, this is a fantastic game that I would definitely recommend to my friends. (In fact I got one to start playing)
Fun but some team up issues
I like this game and it’s really fun, but I have issues with the team up feature. In this feature, you get to team up with another player to defeat a fallen angel, and as a return you get to pick a prize out of four cards. The problem with this is three of the four prizes are really bad, but one of them is very valuable. You choose a card randomly, so you don’t know whether you’re going to get a good or bad card. The problem is you get the bad prizes significantly more than the good prize. For example, I decided to try to do an experiment and choose the third card every time I did it for a week. That’s 70 times to team up. (You get ten times to do it per day) If you do the math, then theoretically you should get two or three cards per time you do team up, (10/4=2.5) but instead I got one valuable prize 52 out of 70 times, no valuable prize 15 out of 70, and two valuable prizes 3 out of 70 times. I never got anything more than that. Please fix this!! It’s a really fun game, but this ruins the team up aspect. If you don’t want to improve the chances of getting a valuable prize, than you can at least make the other prizes more valuable. Otherwise than that, a really fun game.
One in a million?
I’ve downloaded this game 14 days ago and, so far it’s fantastic. Normally, after the first couple of days I would stop playing. But, not for this game. It combines creativity with food to make such a lavish game. I love the concept of food as people. But, these guys took it one step further. They make these characters have specific abilities and have combos with other characters. Not only that, but they also made each character look unique. Which, sold me. This game has got me hooked!
That being said, I had some difficulty around the level 26 area. There was a stage that was tremendously infuriating and a lot harder than it needed to be. I don’t know if it was my feeble mind, or if it was planned. But, for some spontaneous reason. The level was sporadically harder than, the previous stages. I had to level my souls up to level 29 before I was officially able to beat the stage. I have yet to encounter another problem like that. Hopefully, it doesn’t occur again. This made the game for a little period of time very unenjoyable.
Finally, I would like to see the game have more language options. Im bilingual and I tend to play games that are in Korean or 한국어. I would love to see this game in many other languages; especially, the language I’ve been anticipating for the most. Other than minor discrepancies this game is fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to my friends!
