I really do love it but i wish importing from other websites was better. It does keep a backup unlike the others out there. There support is also really good too about a week they get back to you if you have a problem with sync.
Need more functionality
This is a very pretty app but the biggest thing it's lacking is a printing function. I realize there was nothing on the website or on the app description that SAID there would be a printing function…. I just assummed…. Because I can't print from the app I find it to be seriously lacking.
A lousy successor to Connoisseur
I found this app when I went to the website to see if there were any updates to Connoisseur, a recipe app released by the same developer a while ago. (Tragically abandoned, since it had a lot of potential). Connoisseur has some great features: recipe scaling (double the size, etc.), export-to-shopping-list, and a fairly nice interface. Foodie trades all of that in for a glorified folder of text documents; it's basically interface is some large icons for your recipes, which point at two text fields for your ingredients and recipes. That's it. No recipe scaling, no shopping list, no automatic categories and filtering, no reason to purchase.
