Not a bad app
Really wish app had a way to select favorites like a small love heart so I can find things I like easily. Otherwise very easy to use. Love ability to buy liquor easily and quickly online and the prices. However the prices of food items are expensive like most NY grocery stores! Love the specials and deals. Wish it was easier to opt out of marketing emails. I’d rather get my offers in the app. I think the deleting window is good however sometimes app tells you a window is available and then it’s actually not. Also wish I could report missing items (once delivered) in the app rather than having to call and get told I didn’t check or treated like I’m lying.
Food Quality is Just OK and Overpriced
Foodkick seems like a very slow starting delivery service. Very convenient for alcohol delivery but when it comes to food it’s a different story. Foodkick is run by fresh direct who I already know to produce low quality food. I find myself paying 60$ for about 6-7 items that are not very good when I could order on Instacart from Whole Foods and get twice as much all organic, non gmo foods for the same price. Also not sure how their delivery people are trained but they are always so awkward and weird like they don’t know how to act or what to say. The bags are always packed horribly, one time I ordered a quart of Apple Cider and they packed it on top of a bag of chips??? Like where’s the common sense lol. Like I said will continue ordering alcohol from here but with food I’ll stick with Instacart.
It’s fine in a pinch but...
It’s an expensive, marked-up from Fresh Direct’s prices. But if you’re lazy and don’t feel like carrying groceries and need them day-of, here ya go. The delivery is all over the place, usually on time but I’ve had it arrive before the delivery window and a few times I’ve had to call to report no delivery at all, at which point they’ll offer to resend the order (by that point hours after the fact) but they are resistant to refunding or crediting you... The app is fine but super buggy. Sometimes I’ll search an item and it will say it’s already in my cart when it’s not. I have to “remove” it to actually add it in the first place, and even then have to double-check the bag because it isn’t always there. 3rd time’s the charm. Eh.
