Description

A simple app to make keeping a photo food diary as quick & easy as possible.
You can now share with friends & professionals via a simple link.

FoodView aims to make keeping a photo food diary as quick & simple as possible. There is no calorie tracking, barcode scanning or manual data entry.

We hope that keeping a food diary will help you be more aware of what you're eating & drinking and help you short-circuit habits that you'd like to break.

A food diary can also come in handy when discussing nutrition with doctors, dietitians or other healthcare professionals. By quickly giving them an accurate picture of your food intake you will hopefully be better placed to get useful advice and spend less appointment time answering food intake questions.

FoodView also lets you sync photos to the cloud and share them via a simple link.

There are no ads & we care about your privacy - photos are not sent anywhere unless you share them.

weight loss that works

I use this app to take photos of every meal I consume. I do it to hold myself accountable. It makes me think before eating rather than mindlessly snacking. I try to consume 17 healthy meals out of 20 meals. Food deserves respect and eating should be done mindfully and not emotionally. This is less time consuming than using a calorie tracking app. So far this idea is helping me lose weight. Before taking a photo, I ask myself if the food I'm eating is nutritious.

Simple and free 👍

It’s a very simple and quick app for food logging. And it’s free! Can’t ask for much more. I do have some suggestions, if the devs are up for it!

1) Option to just type what you had without a photo because sometimes I just forget to take one. Just show my typed description where the photo is supposed to be.
2) Disable time feature. I simply prefer seeing what I had in a day, without having to input specific times. Most times I’m just guessing times anyways.
3) Option to change photo only. There are options to change date and time individually for an entry, but not to change only the photo. I have to delete the whole entry and start over to do that.

These little quirks being fixed would surely make this app a must-have! But I still recommend it as it is! Especially if other apps just seem to take too much time to fill out, this one is such a relief. It's definitely worth a try!

Excellent way to keep track!

I use this beside a calorie counter and it is an excellent way to visualize the foods I am eating and where the issues may be - where I can improve my nutrition and make better choices. Ensure I am eating more of the colors of the rainbow. Notice when I have had too many sweets.
