Too many communication errors
I get too many communication errors and timeouts when I try to send the command via the app. When it works - it's a decent app with minimal interface. But I get communication errors too often...
Would be nice if it had a timer when I would like my car to start.
Also if there's a communication error when you open the app and it tries to login, it just kicks you out and you have to enter your email and password again... Which is really annoying. The app stores password but when communication error occurs it erases it and you have to enter it again. Very inconvenient.
I installed the Remote Access equipment on two vehicles and have a subscription to Remote Access on both vehicles. I'm in to this for A LOT of money. Now, despite being warned by Apple for MONTHS that 32 bit apps would not longer be supported, SpinDance (the company Ford contracted the app development to) hasn't bothered to update the app in a timely fashion. SpinDance customer service tells me an update is coming but they've known about iOS 11 for months and haven't pushed out the update, nor will they give me a timeframe. Plus, contacting them is through a support thread interface and they often choose not to respond. Horrible customer service. So, ultimately, users can either choose to not update their iPhones or go without a service they paid hundreds for.
Great system - fast as heck!
Great system. Had Installed on my 2016 F-150. Works better than dealer explained. From the time I press the START button until the time I get the confirmation is like 2 seconds!! This system is many times faster than the OnStar system I had on my Yukon. That piece of junk, when it worked, took like 45 seconds to send a command. Garbage. Also, the Ford Remote Access includes a GREAT shock sensor security system that texts and emails me instantly when the alarm trips. GREAT SYSTEM!!!!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
