Worddio - Learn on the go!

The best new words learning tool suitable for all age groups.

Worddio combines the most effective methods to quickly learn new words. Its features help you memorize, pronounce and spell:

• Learn new words
Listen and memorize the words you've chosen, pronounced by native speakers while you do sports, walk in the park, cook, carry out everyday tasks, travel in the car or with the bus.

• Practice your pronunciation
Record your pronunciation and compare it with the native speaker's pronunciation. Record and compare again and again until you like the results.

• Test what you've learned
Check your knowledge. Choose a group of words that you've learned and check what you remember.

Worddio - the first non-interactive language learning application based on the symbiosis of two of the most popular memorization methods.
We conducted in-depth research and interviews among many experts, linguists, language teachers, and students and we decided to create a symbiosis between two of the most popular methods of learning new words:
• Pimsleur™ method, which is characterized by prolonged listening of word pronunciation from a native speaker.
• The flashcard method, which is characterized by hearing a word in one language, and learning it in another.
By combining these two methods, Worddio is based on listening to a predetermined amount of pairs of the same words in your native language and the language you want to learn.

The application supports the following languages with more than 8 000 words each:

I don’t get it

All the ads make this app look wonderful. When you click one the word list, all you get is a list of English words. There is no Spanish even if you click on the words. The only way to hear the Spanish is to go to the test. But if I already knew the words and was ready for the test, then why would I even be using the app?

Really cool app for vocab building

This is a vocabulary application and must be judged as such, and is great for that purpose. It is not intended to teach every little detail about grammar and usage, so you'll need to supplement your studying with additional study and resources, however that can be said of any language application. Nevertheless, there is a use for filling your brain with the raw materials and basic building blocks of a language in this manner, in my opinion and considering the amount of content and number of languages I'd say the value for the money is here (up to you and I to put in the time and effort!). That being said, there is ample content (about 6,000 words per language) for a nice selection of languages and it's well-organized into levels and broken into bite-sized pieces for ease of digestion (as opposed to "here's a dictionary, have at it."). The words have all been recorded by native speakers, which is also a nice feature compared to some apps that use a subpar digital voice. There was a minor hiccup after purchasing my subscription, which seems to be a fairly common complaint in the reviews, but it was resolved within about 48 hours which is practically nothing compared to a lifetime subscription (and I was able to study in the meantime regardless), so all in all, cool app and hopefully the subscription bugs can be laid to rest permanently soon!

Thanks for your great review :-)
Yes, Worddio is a vocabulary builder and it aim is to help only to expand user's vocabulary. If someone wants to learn grammar, the best way is to doing with a teacher.
