Description

Remotely control forScore with Cue! Connect wirelessly to one or more nearby devices using forScore and you’ll be able to turn pages, go to a specific page, scroll up and down or toggle half-page turns (depending on each device’s orientation), and navigate to any score that’s present on all connected devices. You can even view a device’s screen* to follow along as they play! Cue works with forScore 6.1 or later (sold separately).

With Dual Page mode, you can use forScore on one device and Cue on another device to display two full-sized pages simultaneously. Your page and its annotations are sent wirelessly, and tapping or swiping on either device turns two pages at a time—just like a book. Dual Page mode even supports links and buttons, so you can tap on them no matter which side they’re on and they’ll work just like you expect. Visit forScore.co/cue to learn more!

*Performance can vary greatly based on settings, environmental factors, and network availability. A wi-fi connection is strongly recommended. Image quality can be adjusted in the app's preferences.

2-Up Dual Page Mode is here

I have been using ForScore for sometime now hoping for a way to get a 2-up display thing happening. Now with 2 new iPad Pros, Cue 1.4, and ForScore this two page at a time setup is happening. The Dual page mode needs a little work to essentially advance the pages on each device without repeating the right side page on the left when the pages are turned.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that this can be addressed and solve quickly!!
****Also I am getting much better results with out Any WIFI or Bluetooth but with the necessary Apple adapters for a wired Ethernet connection between the two Ipad Pros!
Thanks,
Al

Nice Concept, but Lots of Bugs

I'm hoping the next release will fix some issues. If so, it will be a great app. Until then, I consider it unusable and will continue using a single iPad for my purposes. First, the image quality on the slave monitor is quite fuzzy. It needs to be identical to the original in resolution and is currently far from it. Second, the app (on both the master and the slave) gets confused when I reach the last page of a song and try to either swipe or use my pedal to advance to the next song on my playlist. The only solution is to manually select the next song from the menu, which resets both iPads. This is a show-stopper for me. Hoping they can fix these issues quickly because the app has a lot to offer.

Edit: We still haven't heard from you, please reach out to us if you have any questions!

Hello, and thanks for checking out Cue. I've been looking into the page turning issues you described and haven't been able to reproduce them on my end—would you mind contacting us so we can diagnose further?

As for image quality, we had to carefully choose a compression level that maintained the legibility of the page while being small enough to transfer over to another device wirelessly in less than a second—uncompressed images would take 10-20 seconds, on average, so there's no way this system would work without some compromise.

There is, however, a setting in the iOS Settings app (scroll down until you see "Cue" in the list) that lets you change this. The "image quality" option is set to "low" by default, but can be set to "high" instead which will give you much better images, even though they'll take a little longer to appear on the second device. It won't be perfect, but it sounds like that should suit your needs better.

Thanks again for your support; I hope we hear from you soon!

Great tool

I have one wish: I’d like to turn ONE page at a time in dual page mode. I have a big iPad Pro and a little Mini. So I’d like the music I’m playing to be on the big iPad, but have the next page on the little one so I can look ahead and turn when it’s convenient. It should be a simple toggle setting.

If you have 2-up landscape mode on the main iPad, and one page on the Cue, the behavior is a little more subtle as it should advance two pages and display the one that was on the Cue plus the following page.
