Freezes. Update: working again
Freezes when an article is tapped. App is still frozen after killing app by exiting and “throwing away”. Actually need to delete app and re-install. Then just use slides and pinch/zoom. Just remember: DO NOT TAP THE SCREEN!!!
Update: Seems to be working again. Currently on iPadOS 13.3.
Freezes and keeps asking for login
The Print Edition app used to work on the iPad and iPhone. But recently it freezes almost instantly when we try to use it. This is frustrating since our subscription pays for an app that now doesn’t work. We’re still using iOS 12.4.1, so this isn’t an iOS 13 issue.
In the last couple of months, the app also keeps asking us to log in every few days. This issue is recent as well. The app used to work great. We hope it’ll get fixed!
Update: The app is working for us again. We’re now using iPad and iPhone with iOS 13.3. We’re still asked to log in again once in a while; otherwise, the app is working well.
Avoid 13.1 Upgrade - 13.1.1 OK
If you rely on this app, avoid upgrading to IOS 13.1. Text initially appears on page, then disappears. Paging forward or backward temporarily restores text. Text also disappears when zooming in/out on page. Crashes when rotating between portrait and landscape views. Was fine (4 stars) before IOS 13.1 upgrade.
Functionality restored with IPADOS 13.1.1
Nice benefit to also be able to view USA Today daily editions.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
