I've been using the free version of this app and overall, I'd highly recommend it for plant identification and care reminders. I like to try an app for a while before writing a review. There are no annoying ads, though it does prompt you to purchase the full version each time you open it. I simply click "cancel" and continue using it. I frequently use it to take pictures of plants and identify the species. With the free version, you can also take pictures of your own plants and add them to "my garden." You can add pictures over time and see a timeline of your plants' growth, which is really cool. It suggests appropriate watering and fertilization schedules, and you can set reminders/notifications for watering or fertilizing each plant. On iPhone, you can also add a care reminder widget to your home screen, which is more convenient than just the app icon. The paid version unlocks more information about identified plants and allows you to use a feature called 360-degree identification, which is supposed to be more accurate. I've used the bird identification feature before, which used to be part of the free version, and it was accurate. I hope this review helps someone else decide whether or not to try this app! It's worth downloading to compare it to other apps you're considering.
