No Instructions

I'm sure the game itself is great, but I literally could not figure out how to play it. There's no walkthrough or list of game controls or anything. I got a little further than the previous reviewer (I got into the moon room) but it took me over ten minutes and analyzing the mouse movements of the ONLY walkthrough video to figure out how to even move from one side of the hallway to the other. Like I said I'm sure the plot is great, the art is definitely wonderful from what I've seen, but it's totally not user friendly as of Sept 2020. This could literally be solved with a little pop-up controls list. I ended up deleting it, it was that irritating. It's too bad though, I had high hopes.

Does everyone else in the world know how to play without instructions?

I only tried video gaming once before, with Myst. I remember needing help from my teenage son back then. With the pandemic keeping me at home so much, I thought I’d try something simple to see if I wanted to get some more serious games so I tried this one. Ha ha. I couldn’t even get out of the first room. There are no instructions. I found a key and a gear and I clicked on every floor board and every little bit of that first screen but I couldn’t get anywhere. I guess you have to know what you are doing but I wouldn’t suggest this for people who don’t already know the ins and outs of digital games. I trashed it.
