What if even a few seconds of exercise a week could strengthen your bones? Research indicates it can, if your bones experience enough impact force. But not all exercise accomplishes this, hence the prevalence of osteoporosis.

FRACTUREPROOF is the first app that lets You test your exercise routine using your phone's built-in sensors to see what impacts You experience. Then You can compare the results to the impact levels research indicates are required to build bone. Track your exercise sessions over time, and see what workouts work for your bones.

All purchases of FRACTUREPROOF benefit American Bone Health, a nonprofit patient advocacy and education provider dedicated to helping individuals with osteoporosis, and bone dysfunction.

Research published in 2012 provided the first clear evidence of what minimum level of impact force one must experience in order to stimulate constructive remodeling of bone. FRACTUREPROOF lets you evaluate your exercise in the context of this research.

With FRACTUREPROOF you use the location services sensors already in your phone to track impact forces you experience as you move around. You can then store the peak impacts from each session, and compare that to the impact levels associated with bone health in current research. You can also see how as your fitness improves, this impact-loading can improve.

You can also record Osteogenic Loading therapy sessions, and that data appears alongside regular exercise sessions to provide a complete picture of your exercise history and it’s relation to exercise intensity levels associated with increased bone density.

FRACTUREPROOF feature highlights:

-concise, elegant design
-record impacts you experience while walking, running, jumping, etc. using your phone’s built-in accelerometer
-record osteogenic loading therapy sessions
-review your saved exercise session history
-compare the impacts you experience while exercising to the impacts research indicates are required to improve bone density
-cloud storage of your data in secure datacenters means your exercise history is protected from unauthorized access and available across multiple devices

Note that some functions of this app require background GPS usage. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Useful, Unique

Provides valuable medical data I can't otherwise obtain conveniently.

The update really clears up the question of where Osteogenic loading data can be obtained. That is, it's a therapy that one can engage in at physical medicine clinics.

That functionality is separate from and in addition to the ability to record impacts from real world exercise like running or tennis. Fortunately no "wearable" is required for such data collection, and the app works great using my phone's onboard location sensors.

Profound medical data

Most apps for health record and alanyse silly data (steps) which doesn't have much to do with dysfunctions in the human body. This app can tell you if you are able to attain loading that can trigger bone growth. Hold the phone against your hip, and jump.. Simple and brilliant.
