UI Format

Please create a version of this app that is formatted for iPads. I love this app, but use it mostly ion my iPad and it is frustrating to view the output in such a narrow space. 5 star app with this implementation. Also, if you could create “CONVERSATION MODE”, where I can speak to Frank and he replies back in voice as the text is displayed, without me having to select the text and use the PLAY WITH VOICE option, that would be epic. ***And, as promised, I have revised my star rating for this app to a 5, since my feature request was implemented. I appreciate that…***

New Review Question

I asked the Frank AI a question while using the Chat GPT-4o protocol and it gave me this response: “As of my knowledge cutoff date in October 2023”…

Just kind of confusing as it appears that the information present within the Ai is not current but is backlogged all the way back to October 2023? Why wouldn’t it have the latest information and updates current to the moment? Just curious as this seemed kind of perplexing to me.

Think the app is great but it’d be nice if there was a way to make it more current. Similar to the Perplexity AI app. Maybe have a switch you could turn on or off in the settings that would function like the Perplexity AI app (by answering questions with relevant articles attached so you know the information is correct, while simultaneously still using chat gpt 4o for logic and understanding what you say) when you want it to and off when you just want to chat with the AI.

Hey there!

We had a visual bug on the app that showed the incorrect model, this is now fixed and should show the correct model based on what you’re using (GPT-4, GPT-4o etc). If you restart the app it should now show up correctly :)

Frank is powered by GPT-3. The usage of “Frank 3.5” and “Frank 4.0 Turbo” have no relevance to GPT models, though that is clearly the implication. ALSO, the many 5-Star reviews are suspect… they’re so over-the-top that it’s hard to view them as genuine, especially when compared to the critical reviews and my own experience using Frank’s premium tier. OpenAI provides unlimited free access to GPT-3.5, and numerous apps provide free access to GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4.

Frank is a decent AI chat app with potential, and supporting indie devs is a beneficial practice for the entire apple ecosystem. That said, this dev should be avoided until transparency and ethical business practices are demonstrated. There are many solid devs with exemplary products and business practices. Don’t waste time and money on those who are unwilling to earn your trust by ensuring users know exactly what they are paying for. If this dev rectifies the aforementioned concerns, I will gladly update my review.

Sorry, but this is incorrect - Frank has never used GPT-3. He is powered by multiple models: GPT-3.5, GPT-4, GPT-4 Turbo and GPT-4o as of the latest update, and we let users choose what model they want to interact with through the chat interface.

Sorry if the choice of model was confusing in the interface somehow, but it should be showing up correctly - if not, can you please send a screenshot to us so we can fix whatever issue you’re having that shows GPT-3 incorrectly?
