definitely has some unique interface functions and layout that aren't immediately clear or intuitive. Also the menu option buttons sometimes disappear or are obscured by the ads. So once you've watched, sometimes you have to reopen the app in order to connect. But overall it's a quick and reliable VPN, and the ads aren't horribly annoying. some of them are actually interesting and worthwhile products.

initial concerns-
The VPN stayed connected after I clicked "disconnect" and waited until I got the message it was disconnected. I closed the app. Then shortly thereafter noticed the active VPN icon was showing in my iPad's Status Bar. So I had to disconnect the VPN again, from within iPad Settings. It's also worrying that it automatically downloaded some other random app it had advertised within an hour of me downloading it is a serious security concern. No I did not click on any of the ads. Furthermore, at least for a 1st time user it is very difficult to figure out how to navigate from the "ad watching menu" to the "control menu" where you select the region and turn on / connect the VPN. I did eventually, but in most views on ipad the menu buttons disappear form the ad watching menu.I'll give it another try or 2 in case I made some random errant keystroke or bumped the screen causing that download and for it to automatically reconnect. If it happens again, I'm deleting it.

Haven’t rated an app in over a decade I’d venture to say; and I don’t think I’ve felt compelled to ever leave a review, considering how many opinions already echo any number of sentiments I’d be sharing. However, this app is totally perfection, and really is a great model for what providing a free app for a vital app should look like. When it comes to a VPN solution this was made those of us tired of paywalls, especially when tiered access is so prevalent, and lower tiers still watch ads that generate revenue on top of the premium you’re paying to access a given service. Once you’re done viewing ads for the time allotment you need, no more ads. They make you view their premium offer and bypass it for the basic, ad fueled version every time you connect, but it’s a small price for such a big payoff. If an ad won’t load or stalls, you still get credit for it. You don’t get rollover time - so watch ads in the increments they offer because they don’t issue VPN time in equal increments per ad you watch so it’s not advantageous to try and watch one ad in the 24 hr slot (thinking you’ll get 2 hours after the first one). It always connects, has a great deal of locations to choose from, doesn’t slow down connectivity (significantly) very often, and absolutely means free in the way of not requiring an in app purchase. Kudos developers, this deserves a higher rating than the current 4.6 IMHO.

would give it a 4.5 if i could, since other reviews says there’s issues with subscription canceling but i don’t pay so it doesn’t matter to me. been using the app on and off for free for years, and it’s worked perfectly fine, as far as free vpn does. it’s slow to load pages, sure but that’s to be expected for a free vpn service. all the others are the same. ads work about 90% of the time, as long as you’re on wifi that isn’t terrible or on data. if there’s no prompt to skip or close the ad, just close and reopen. if there’s ads aren’t loading, close and reopen or just change from data to wifi or vice versa. the best part imo is being able to access multiple spots in multiple countries for free rather than a few spots in NA and a couple of countries like others. there’s a free trial for the premium, but the “with ads” works fine and offers more than the free versions of other well-known vpns that bait you with free and almost force you to pay.
