I’ve been playing Free Cell for a long time. The challenge I enjoy is knowing that there is ALWAYS a solution. This is one of the few games that the author has taken the time to provide in both portrait and landscape. My iPad sits in lanscape mode so games only in portrait mode are useless. Portrait mode games usually display only in a way that requires the power connector to be unplugged. One of the first things we learned in Java classes was how to make our solution display in both orientations. There are extras the author provides although I don’t need them to enjoy the game. I play Free Cell the way I might play it with a physical card deck while flying on an airplane say. This game has restrictions that do not fit that concept. There seem to be some flaws - cards light up indicating they might be moved when they can’t. Despite the restrictions, the game can always be won. I have been given games for which there is only one solution and I gave up chasing the answer just because I was doing more work than fun. the game was difficult only because of the restrictions added in that would never exist in the physical game. Loved the game while having challenges and then goals. Then you added events that were between 25 and 30 games. Then you changed those to 50 and now some are up to 75 games, which so entirely stupid because that is wntirttoo many games to play in a week unless you only play one solitaire gameI hardly get to play all of the 50 games and I am no longer completing the events. This is because I am playing 6 different solitaire games and 1 majongg game on both my iPad and iphone and with the other chores I have to do everyday I no longer have the time to play them everyday. So I either get really behind in my daily challenges, in which several of then were at least 8 days behind. So that literally means that just on my iPad just between the 4 solitaire games and the mojongg game the events total of 300 games to be played not counting the daily challenges and goals and then add the same number of games on my iPhone, there is absolutely no way in this world to all of them unless you have nothing to do in your life but play games and I am not that lazy and I am 73 years old. So I am not very happy with you changing the only relaxation I get from your games and making me try to figure out which games I am going to have to delete and find some other games to relax my mind and ease the stress from my day. So I just wanted to thank for ruining the only stress free and mind relaxing fun in my life. So pardon me while I start figuring out which games I have to delete after playing them for several years.

I have loved this game since I first played it back in the day on my computer. I love this app because it gives me the same great game on my phone, with the addition of daily goals. As a software tester I truly appreciate the quality. I tried other FreeCell apps and deleted them all before finding this one. If there was one thing I would add to the game though, I would love to know the numbers of the games I have lost, so that I could go back and try again.Update: I did contact support but for the sake of the review readers, I will explain the feature I would like to see. If you go to settings > statistics you can see how many games you have won and lost. My request is, if you play numbered games (yes, I started at 1) that you be able to see the game numbers of the games you lost so that you could try them again. The feature would not work for randomly generated games as they have no numbers. Bonus if winning a previously lost game would erase the count in the lost column. :D

I played daily on free version and updated a month ago to the paid version (paid for a full year). Yesterday the program crashed, lost nearly 7 months of data and now commercials are back and it wants more money. I enjoyed the program and looked forward to the daily challenge but now I’m back to zero (losing over 132 levels) and wasted $9.99. Now I have to figure how to cancel an account that only the developer has info on and which will auto renew annually. Don’t waste your time or money on this app, it is bound to frustrate you and take your money.REVIEW UPDATE:Customer non-support left a reply to my original review indicating concern and asked me to contact them through the app. I did and they responded requesting a copy of my Apple Pay for the annual subscription. I sent a screen shot of my payment confirmation a week ago and never heard back. I sent a follow up message a few days ago and heard nothing. I stand by my original review - BUYER BEWARE. The company will take your money and run. No support to date.REVIEW UPDATE:Developers finally responded and said “they were working my ticket “ but there was nothing they could do. They stated I could request a refund from Apple Pay which I did and was automatically denied by Apple Pay. Bottom line - Free Cell and Apple Pay got my money, developers claim they have no record of my purchase (I supplied a screenshot of my receipt) and after paying for an annual subscription I still have ads. I can’t believe that this company can’t offer a credit or reactivate a subscription that was paid for. All they can do is say they’re sorry.
