I am not sure if I would get the same discount every time. But I doubt that as I used to use Lyft and Uber and normally is less than that much but since I get the discount I am Happy and would wait and see If I would be getting it always otherwise won’t be happy you know. The drive was very nice, organized and neat personality. Thank goodness

I recently downloaded the app as it was advertised that the first ride would be 50% off. However that was not the case when I booked it and I ended up cancelling the ride. However, I was still charged the full amount of $80. I tried again and was quoted $11-$15 for my trip. My taxi ended up getting lost, drove around even though I pinned and shared my exact location via the app features and I was later charged $41. I reached out to the app support on 12/25 and it is now 12/30 and I have yet to hear back or see a refund for the trip. Since this is all trackable, support should be able to see the details and rectify the issue. I reached out again and opened another support ticket yesterday but the AI bot was the only communication I received. I would not recommend this at all. Especially when traveling, stick with uber as the support is responsive with issues and the charges are accurate. This app is highly deceptive with fees and terrible customer service.

In June 2025 we used FreeNow App and it worked good for a couple of days until we got to the weekend and then it was horrible. Never could confirm a ride. The app would freeze up and had numerous headaches just trying to book a simple cab. We finally had to give up and use the more expensive Uber app. Unfortunately Free Now is not ready for prime time and it’s a problem on about 1/2 of our rides. We were forced to go to Uber because Free Now would not work and was unable to successfully book a cab during busier times on a Saturday and Sunday. So beware that it is not what it should be.

I’ve used this app consistently. I even got the subscription. But I keep having issues with their payment system. Apple Pay off, sometimes doesn’t work. Foreign credit cards seem to be an issue as well.However, now a new bug appeared. I’m even unable to order a ride because the app freezes whenever I put a origin destination in. I don’t seem to be able to get past the freezing screen. I deleted it the app multiple times and reinstalled it however, none of these efforts seem to have made a difference.I now even deleted my account and started a new one . However, I still have the issue of the screen freezing when I try to order a ride.At this point, I have a running subscription, but I’m unable to use the app because of the bug.

I was in UK for business trip and booked my taxi via freenow at arrival. I wasn’t too much concerned by ordering by freenow before I experienced 2 forced cancellation in UK. Already user of freenow in France, I feel ok for its service. But by arriving in UK, I tried to book taxi, for two times… all failed… For the first time, the driver seems to stop somewhere nearby and waited for me to cancel the trip. I had to do so as I need to travel directly to my office that morning. And I re-booked another trip with them, this time the driver seems to come to pick me up, but after several exhausting conversation by calls, the driver couldn’t make it to come the the location I was, which is the exit of the saint pancras international station. Long waiting after about 3 quarters, I was so very much disappointed and suffered by this experience. After my business trip in UK, I contacted the customer service for these 2 forced cancellations that charged me 12 pounds, I got a 6-pound voucher valid during one month in UK, which doesn’t serve anything for me, as I only stayed in London for a week for business reason and complaints raised after this stay. Anyway, even though I were still there, don’t have any more confidence with free mnow drivers… So… wish you luck and be careful when you book in Uk…
I was taken advantage of by the taxi driver. Not super sure he was even a driver as there was no signage on his van. I paid 10€ for a cab from the airport to my hotel about a 8 minute drive. My flight back was at 6 am so I knew I needed a taxi and this app was my last hope. I scheduled the taxi the night before for 4:15 am and the driver came on time. When I got in I looked at his phone on the stand and he had not pressed the button that he had picked me up. I asked him in English and Spanish and he pretended he didn’t understand. I was thinking he was going to kidnap me. We did end up arriving at the airport and he still didn’t say he even picked me up on the app. All of a sudden he spoke English and demanded 40€ for a “night time fee”. I had no choice as this dude was twice my size. He pulls off and I get a notification from the app he canceled the taxi. This is SO dangerous on so many levels. I have a picture of his phone while I was in the van and a email confirmation for this trip. Of course I can’t report anything on the app because it says problems with previous rides and he canceled it so it’s as if it didn’t exist. If this guy would’ve done something to me there would be very minimal evidence as the app wipes the canceled trip. STAY FAR AWAY
