After opening multiple applications or multiple tabs in Safari you may find your Mac becomes sluggish and unresponsive. This is because your Mac does not have enough RAM to support all of those tasks to run smoothly. Adding more RAM to your Mac would be an ideal solution, but if somehow you’re not able to do that a memory management program is what you need.
FreeRAM Booster is a smart memory management program that will keep your Mac OS X Lion from running slower and slower after been used for several hours. FreeRAM Booster works by freeing up unused physical memory allocated by system and other applications thus more RAM can be allocated to current tasks.

Not useless, but rather ineffective
Everyone likes to tout the performance of their products, but "The most advanced memory optmizer app on Mac OS X" is absurd. While it shows a more dynamic display than Bjango’s iStat Menus, Kromtech’s MemoryKeeper, and Rocky Sand’s Memory Monitor, and a more accurate one (curiously) than Rocky Sand’s Memory Clean (no longer available on the US App Store for some reason), and does what it does faster that either of the Sand apps or the Kromtech one when you decide to optimize, it only frees about half as much RAM (in my tests) as Memory Clean, and only about 1/3 as much as Memory Monitor or MemoryKeeper (iStat Menus doesn’t have a clean function). There are lots of other utilities for this sort of thing, but these are enough to test to conclude that this app is freshman, dabbler entry into this utility market. That said, freeing some RAM is better than nothing, and if this developer has figured this much out so far, they’ll probably figure out more later.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
