Your subscription will automatically renew every month just 24 hours before the current period ends. Amazing App, some bugs.
This is an incredible service. It handles so much and makes invoicing and expense tracking a breeze. For some reason it no longer takes photos from my camera roll for receipts though. I go through the motions like I used to but no matter how many times I do it the receipt won't stay attached to the expenses report and that is actually a really big issue, and if it isn't resolved in an update within a couple weeks I will definitely cancel my subscription and switch to Everlance since I already use that to track mileage. Please fix this issue! Otherwise it's a 5 star app!
Freelancer's Best Friend
FreshBooks is the best thing that has ever happened to my business. When I think now of time I have not billed or expenses I have not tracked in the past it makes me bang my head against the wall! FreshBooks has allowed me to keep my books for various entities, to easily invoice and offer easy payment options. The flexibility to charge different clients different rates for services has been invaluable. Expense tracking and bill-back has never been easier. Also the team is improving the solution all the time and is very open to customer feedback! I love this app and service!!!!
My two requests would be: I wish FreshBooks would team up with shake to have a contract element also on the project.
I also wish there was a slightly easier way to indicate that a client has prepaid a portion of the work and bill against that. There is a work around that works just fine, and I can't imagine that feature isn't coming soon, so I'm excited for when it appears.
Good but needs polish
From an invoicing perspective, the service is great. From a day-to-day perspective, it needs help. At least once a week after saving a time entry, I'll come back the next morning to start the clock and the old one is still sitting there saying it hadn't saved. I have to then save it again and go verify that it didn't get saved twice. It frequently does. I would have considered idempotency to be a critical feature in this case.
Then there's the situations where I get spontaneously prompted to reenter my password. Because the app uses "magic links" to log on (this is just asking for a man in the middle attack), I don't have a password. When I enter it wrong, I have to spend time getting re-logged in. And if I happened to have a clock running on a time entry, this is lost. All of this adds stress and loss of time where I can least afford it.
