Fires are not being updated on a timely matter and some fires are not even showing up. A huge fire was near Lake Tahoe and there was zero information on this app about it. There was a fire very close to my my home and this app said it was zero% contained for over 24 hours while it was put out about two hours after it started! Some people feel they should be able to trust an app that says their going to do what they are supposed to do but not this one. How do I know which info is correct and which is wrong? Creates more anxiety for people who want to know what fires are around them.

I’ve been using this app for about a year now, and I’ve been happy with it so far. However, I haven’t had to remove a property until now. I added two temporary residences a bit far from home because my partner went out to a wedding in some unsafe areas and I wanted to keep an eye out for them. However, now that they’re home safe, I can’t delete either property in my list. Every time I’ve tried, the screen goes black, the app crashes, and the property is still in my list. My notifications are being filled up for an area that I don’t need information for anymore, unless those fires spread out my way. I would like to be able to remove the properties so that I can see notifications for my home again without having to sift through all of the unrelated ones, please.

Half the time it doesn’t show the fire on the map. The map is horrible. I get notifications on updated fires that I follow way too often with no new updates. There’s not enough information on the map. It takes like 24 hours before fires are updated if they are even updated. It’s just kind of a waste of time. I clicked to show evacuations on the map and it doesn’t show the perimeters.

I tried to set my address. The app could not find it and would not allow the suggestion drop-down menu to close. I had to choose an address from the suggestions to get it to close. Only then was I able to drop a pin in the map to give my precise location, however the app ignores it and now my home is in another state across the country.I deleted the app and started over. This should be a pretty easy fix but I can see how it might really frustrate a new user and cause them to find an alternative app.
