• fScanX Home Edition supports the following Fujitsu document scanners: fi-series models fi-4120C, fi-4220C, fi-4120C2, fi-4220C2, fi-5110, f1-5120C, fi-5220C, fi-6110; and ScanSnap models fi-5110EOX, fi-5110EOX2, fi-5110EOXM, S500, S500M, S510, S510M, S1500, S1500M & iX500 (USB only, max gray/color resolution of 300dpi). This “Home Edition” of fScanX does not support any other scanner models–our web site has information on the regular edition which does support higher-end document scanners.
• All fScanX products are designed from the ground up for Macintosh users & Mac OS X, offering a streamlined document scanning application, with the full rated performance of the scanners.
• fScanX also includes an Automator action for building workflows that incorporate scanning. This is a uniquely simple, flexible & Mac-like way to automate common scanning tasks using a “drag, drop, fill in the blanks” interface.

New life for Scan Snap S1500
I was keeping an old Windows 7 machine around just to use my S1500 because it was no longer supported by the manufacturer. It works great on my MacBook Air with this app!
Struggling with my ScanSnap S1500M
I bought this app with much trepidation and hesitation. Brought out my 1500 from mothball storage after a long time with no use need. Have not been able to locate my original disk. Fujitsu/Richo no longer supports driver for this machine that will work on my macbook pro. So, looked like I would be purchasing a newer scansnap, which are more advanced and not too expensive. My needs might be temporary though. Searched all over inet for a solution .... none. Found this on App store with a notation it supports the old USB scansnaps. Thought I would take a chance for the cost. Yes!!! I am in busniness. Thank you, former reviewers.
Amazing scanning software for otherwise Windows ONLY Fujitsu scanner
I've used fScanX Home Edition for a couple of years. It is AWESOME! This software has enabled me to use my otherwise perfectly working Fujitsu fi-5110C scanner that was "Windows Only" without fScanX-HE.
fScanX-HE is EASY to use, does a great job scanning all kinds of documents, and opens them up in the macOS app of my choice. It slao compresses the documents extremely well, something other macOS scanning programs don't do so well.
The developer has been very reponsive to both support inquirins... and product improvements too.
Highly recommended to keep your vintage Fujitsu scanner working in macOS. Brilliant!
