Somehow keeps getting worse

So I initially liked the auto-tracking feature and the nanny subscription has been useful in the past but I’ve had some issues with the auto-tracking getting stuck staring at the wall. At first, it only happened rarely so I didn’t mind manually adjusting it but ever since they added some bizarre AI thing (that I don’t believe is actually intelligent or real AI btw - it seems to just be pre-written responses to common questions) and changed the layout of the app, my Furbo gets stuck staring at nothing pretty much all the time. I reached out to support to suggest they fix this issue and their advice boiled down to: have you tried turning it off and back on and also can you take a bunch of pics as proof? Completely useless so I didn’t even bother responding to that (yes I tried restarting it, no it didn’t work). Anyways, I had to turn off auto tracking so that I could at least have the camera sometimes facing my pets, but now I’m annoyed because I gave away my old Furbo model and bought the 360 version specifically for the auto-tracking which doesn’t even work anymore. Complete waste of money and support is a joke. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the nanny subscription has been useful once in a while.

Hi pawrent,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts and feedback with us. I’m glad to hear that you find the subscription helpful for tracking your pet’s activities, especially during medical emergencies.

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’ve experienced with the camera getting stuck facing the wall and the slight delay in the app. I can imagine how frustrating that must be, especially when you need to check on past clips urgently.

We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and I want to assure you that your feedback is valuable. We’re constantly working on improving our product, and your suggestions will definitely be taken into consideration.

With lots of furry love,

Look at different options

I used to love the Furbo app but ever since they added the AI feature it’s absolutely terrible. Like others have noted, before you’d get a list of 15 second videos of your dog’s activities in the Home Screen right beneath where you click into the live feed. Now it’s an AI chat that takes up most of the screen and you can’t get rid of it to get the list of videos back. Believe it or not, I bought the camera to check on my dogs through the day, I have no interest in interacting with AI. The App is not anywhere near as user friendly as it used to be.

However, my biggest complaint is with the new AI “features” that came with this update. My dogs were barking at the door and the camera started playing music to “calm them down” which only made them bark harder because they had no idea where the new sound was coming from. And then without any kind of prompting or permission from me it dispensed treats to the dogs, which started a fight because they have a tendency to resource guard and they were already wound up from the music. Whoever thought automatically dispensing treats and playing music was a good idea clearly does not have any experience with animals, especially reactive ones. That should be a feature to opt into rather than having it automatically happen. I’m very disappointed in the way they’re taking the app and I’ll be looking into replacing the Furbo with a different brand.

Worked great… then not at all

Had Furbo for about two years, (but it’s worked for less than half the time). My first Furbo somehow wouldn’t connect to any wifi, it was within a month of receiving the camera so a new one was sent to me for free. The second worked for a while, then I tried the free-premium version trial. As soon as the free trial ended, my furbo stopped connecting. I’ve trouble shooted the issue multiple times with little to no success, the furbo connecting for a day then not working again for months. The only other options provided by support is to either buy a new camera or buy a premium subscription. Pretty frustrating when you already spend over $100 on a product and it constantly breaks, and the only option is to pay more. You should not have to keep shoveling out money, or need two cameras in two years. They should make better products or have a better app.

The app creators made a new version of the app that isn’t compatible with older furbo models and the support team won’t even acknowledge this, and offer no solutions. Save your money, I’ve been waiting on them to fix this issue for months and my furbo has been out of commission for almost 6months. The staff doesn’t care about you or your pet, and they just repeatedly say it has something to do with you and your wifi/ect. When in reality, it’s corporate greed trying to scam you.
