Description

GAMEBO Class is a unique app designed for teachers and students who want to use flashcards to learn in a fun way. Teachers create sets of flashcards and students use those cards when they play fun board games that they set up. Students self-report whether they got the correct answers or not and the teacher is able to see the results from their device. There are no rewards or penalties for right or wrong answers. This keeps the students playing and, more importantly, learning! GAMEBO Class was created by a teacher for teachers. Due to the current pandemic, we have decided to offer the full version of GAMEBO Class for free until September. After that, there will be a small annual subscription fee.

GAMEBO Class is a one-of-a-kind educational game app! Most educational apps have predetermined content. With GAMEBO, you choose what you want the students to learn! Anything you can teach using flashcards can be taught using GAMEBO Class.
When using GAMEBO teachers can create sets of flashcards right in the app and assign them to students! Each flashcard has a question side and an answer side. Teachers can choose to create cards with audio, text, and/or images depending on what kind of flashcards you think would be most effective. No need to laminate! No lost or damaged cards! Students can play anywhere whether it be in class or at home as homework. It is completely up to you! GAMEBO Class was designed by an ESL teacher in Japan to make learning with flashcards fun for students and less problematic for teachers. The best part about GAMEBO Class though, is that each student can play using a completely different set of flashcards. That means you can have lower level students playing with more advanced ones, students studying different subjects, or even students from different grade levels.
After students play, teachers can view how well they performed by going into the student profile and tapping “Results.” From there, decide if you would like to assign a new set of cards or even just pull them aside to give them some extra help with the flashcards they are having trouble with. You will be able to see how well students are performing on each deck of cards as well as on each individual card. Teachers can pass devices to students and let them play freely knowing they will be learning!
On top of this, students play the app for free using a code provided by the teacher. When students enter their code, they will choose whichever deck the teacher has assigned to them. Students will be able to set up board games with several options. Up to 5 students can play on a device. They get to choose how many spaces they want, what characters they want for their game pieces, one of 10 board game themes, special spaces, and whether they want to use a spinner or a die.
GAMEBO Class is safe! There is no in-game chat. They can only play others on the same device. There are no ads either so no accidental clicks and interruptions. Students play straight through uninterrupted. Teachers can use any information they want when creating student profiles. You can create student profiles any way you like. Students will not need to enter ANY personal info; no email addresses, no names, no credit card information; JUST the ID code that will be created when you set up their profiles.
Try GAMEBO Class out today! Set up your class with student profiles, send students their ID codes, and let them play at home while you monitor their performance wherever you are.
