Great game!!

I love this game!! It is super fun and it's something that's easy to do as well!! As some of the other reviews say though, some games can be confusing- some games have settings to choose from (like "normal" or "hard") and in that space there should be instructions too on how to play that game. They should add some more games like bowling or checkers too (but that might be in the $ extension). It is a little pricey and unnecessary to have to pay extra for more games and avatar options, so therefore I don't do that and I don't think a lot of other people do either... All in all though, this is a great game! You can still interact with friends and when you get bored you can just play some games in your messages! I usually have 2 games going at once with a single person so when we're playing we can toggle back and forth and we each play a game while waiting for the response from the other game (if that makes sense!😂)- like I would be playing cup pong while waiting for my friend to finish playing mini golf, then we would finish/ send the game for the other person's turn then play our turn on the other game so we're not just waiting for the one game to return.

Alright but conflicts with screen time limits

game pigeon has good games and is great to play with friends and family but i have a strict mom and screen time on my phone. the issue with this is when i run out of screen time, i cant play the game and since its a text message app i cant ask for more screen time for just this app, since its inder the entertainment catagory, my mom wont extend my screen time limit just so i can play longer because if she did, then i would be able to play my app games and the whole point of my mom putting screen time on my phone is so i dont make my vision worse and so i am not addicted to my phone and constantly playing games all the time since it really makes my adhd worse. and i have noticed some glitches on my families phones when we are playing crazy 8. this just needs to be a app instead of just a imessages app so people like me can still play when the screen time limit has been reached. maybe you could put a redirect in the app so it redirects to messages automatically, making it to where you barely have to put anything in the actually app. it would just be SO much better if i could still use/play it even when ive reached my screen time limit. because i cant play it after ive reached my limit, i barely even play with my friends and family anymore and if im not going to be able to play it all that much, then its basically just taking up space in my phone. ill change the review once this is fixed so please fix this somehow!

Husk of it’s former self

I have always loved playing GamePigeon but after so many years now of absolutely no updates, it’s age is slowly becoming more and more apparent. I will lead this review by saying that nowadays, this thing feels super funky to use. Sometimes games cannot be opened and your phone will require a restart for them to be opened again, sometimes the pop up for the game will bug out, sometimes the game will load but certain assets will be missing, and it’s getting to a point where using GamePigeon can feel like a flat out inconvenience. These bugs need to be fixed, they make playing these games become a chore. That along with essentially no content updates for years now makes it feel like the developer has stopped caring about this game service, which is a shame. I still believe GamePigeon has a lot of room to grow. I remember being excited for new content drops when I was much younger, they kept me coming back to the game again and again, and the magic of that is just completely gone now. I really hope to see a comeback eventually, and I’ll consider editing this review accordingly. If you’re thinking about downloading this for iMessages I would definitely recommend it, just expect some jank. It’s fun for about a month…then you forget it exists due to no content updates and the annoying bugs.
