Usable, but clunky. I wouldn’t call the subscription purchase and set up intuitive. More like “I bet I can figure this out, eventually.” Won’t work with Airplay to show from my iPad to TV. Looks and sounds good on my iPad. If they do show Giro d’Italia, it is worth the sale price of 50% off through February 2021. Addendum: used it 24 hours now. Programming is exactly what I want but the app on iPad is sketchy. Watching replays, start/stop may work, may not. Time stamp on scrub bar doesn’t work. Airplay to tv won’t work. Numerous other glitches. Watching replay of stage 4 of UAE Tour. Wasn’t available for several hours. Finally available. 40 minutes in, the app shuts down. Reboot and stage isn’t available. I hope they get the bugs worked out. If they do this could be a great thing to subscribe to.
Another update May 2021: Performance continues to improve. Still a little tricky when using Airplay to smart TV, but much improved. The programming is outstanding. After all these years, we finally get to watch Giro d’Italia, plus a whole lot more. So many races that I’ve only been able to read about in the past. I changed my review from three stars to four stars.

Hi there, updating here as we've recently added a native iPad app. This is available in our latest release (1.286.0). The iPad app is very new and if you have any feedback, we'd be very interested to find out what you think of it. All the best, Lasty

Ton of potential

I love the social aspects of this app. It’s very positive-based. You can vote a bike “nice” or “super nice” or, if you don’t like it, you can just scroll past. You also can’t see who voted, which prevents people from obsessing. This could really be a great platform for people looking to leave other social networks but still wanting to connect to their cycling friends.

However, there is no way to add friends unless you happen to stumble across their post. You can’t edit a post once it’s up, so make sure you don’t make a typo! You can’t share workouts from Strava so it’s really limited at this point. It seems the social features were added as a bit of a second thought, which is a shame as there appear to be a lot of users here.

It would also be nice if there was just one giant “feed” like every other app. You have to switch between multiple tabs to see everything. It would be great if it worked like Instagram where there was one feed and when you had seen everything new you let you know with that “all up to date” notification.

Hi TrueGeek. Thanks for the thoughtful review and feedback – really interesting and lots for us to go away and think about. The social features definitely aren't a second thought for us – they're a priority and something we'll be working very hard to get right. We know there's a challenge with finding other users at the moment and this is a big one for us to fix, great idea on Strava workouts too – we'd love to give the community more options for post types.

Thanks again – this is a great review to read and we'll see what we can do.

All the best, Lasty

No Pairs-Nice or TDF coverage in the United States on GCN+

First, I love the GCN+ app! The app is awesome with a few exceptions. No Pairs-Nice or TDF coverage in the US on GCN+. That’s disappointing to learn after signing up in February. Hopefully we get TDF for the US audience in the future. I really like the unexpected ambient sound option if you want to hear the sounds of the race. The race announcers are great, but I was blow away with ambient sounds option. Never lose that please. Suggestions: 1) I would like to see the GCN+ app added to the Roku streaming channels so we can stream directly from our TV. That would free up my iPad. I’m currently using screen mirror to cast to the Roku media player for viewing on the TV. I’m mostly watching GCN+ on my iPad with Bose speaker, which makes for a better experience. Are you guys working on a GCN+app on Roku streaming media players/TV? If so, what’s the ETA on that? Cheers! 🇺🇸

We had a glitch with this replay, apologies for that. It should all be fixed now!
