Description
Finally, an app that allows you to search through the Gedolim Yartzeits. Receive daily alerts notifying you who’s Yahrtzeit it is today. You can also search any date and year to easily find out exactly on what Hebrew and/or Gregorian date the Yahrtzeit falls on. We have also provided you with an easy search function where you can enter any part of the name to find a specific Yahrtzeit.
The app also contains Jewish Historical Facts for specific dates as an interesting addition.
On each Gedolim Yartzeits, we provide brief history about them. Get to know the Gedolim in a new way. Light a candle for them on their Yahrtzeit, and ask for good health, prosperity, and the likes. You can also easily share a Yahrzeit via SMS or email with your friends and family.
Click on the name of the month on top, and JUMP to any date you wish, to see what Yahrtzeits fall on that day, perhaps your birthday, a close ones Yahrtzeit, or for any other reason!
Looking for an easy way to know when and how to commemorate lost family members or friends? You can easily add a Yahrtzeit of a niftar to the app, this will be stored on your own device, and will not be shared with anyone else. You can add photos, special memos about the person, and anything else you wish, so you can easily remember them every single year. We will be sure to send you an alert notification on their Yahrtzeit, and you can find them added to the app and view it at any time. The app does all the hard work for you, it will convert the Gregorian date to a Hebrew date, and alert you year in and year out on the exact Hebrew date of the Yahrtzeit.
This app is 100% free, without any limitations, and we look forward to continue upgrading it with new and improved features, your input is critical to us, so email us from within the app with your suggestions/ideas on ways to improve it. We have made multiple improvements:
*IMPORTANT: Please note, by updating this app, all current *Privately entered Yartzeits* will be removed and you will need to add them back in. Due to a major security update we made, this was a requirement.*
• You can now sponsor a Gadol’s Yartzeit right from the app with a simple click
• Dates with no events, will now reflect so
• Want to quickly see today’s Yartzeits? Simply soft click on the App icon for a shortcut menu!
• Search is now arranged alphabetical by Last Name (where available)
• Swipe back & forth: Once you are viewing a Yartzeit from any date, you can now simply swipe back & forth to go through each one
• Turn notifications ON/OFF directly from the app!
• Select the time each day you wish for the notification to alert you, directly from the app!
• On private Yartzeits entered, you will see a small “lock icon” next to it on the calendar list view, click on the icon instead of the name, and you will be presented with a full page of ALL your privately entered Yartzeits for easy viewing and management
• Prior to deleting a private event, you will now be asked to confirm this action
• Moving forward, on every Friday, you will also get a notification for Shabbos Yartzeits as well.
• You can now share your favorite Yartzeits with multiple apps.
• On a year with ADAR II, you will now be able to easily switch between ADARI & ADAR II for the same date to see their Yartzeits

Amazing Idea
It is a deeply revered ability to invoke the name of a tzadick in our daily prayers. This app allows us to do that on the very day (Jewish) when that tzadick left this world for the next.

Gedolim
It is very helpful to know the anniversaries of the Yahrtzeits of great Gedolim who have past on each day of the year.
It would be nice to also have a feature that allows users to add their own personal family Yahrtzeits as well but overall it is a great app!

I read Yartzeits every day. Not only is it informative but it gives a unique perspective on the Gedolim in the context of history, and brings them to life.
