I’ve bought a few things from the geek app and although I know they’re associated with Wish, the Geek app seems better. Go figure. Everything from pricing on most things to especially shipping. I enjoy this app a lot. Just like all of the Wish associated apps you still have to *read the descriptions* thoroughly as many of the stores like to use the old “bait & switch” tactics by showing an image of something of greater value than they are actually selling. For example they may show several images of say, a halfway decent tablet but in reality they are actually selling a stylus and you can only find this out by reading the *full* description *all the way down to the bottom of the page*. Also, there may be confusion when you go to “buy” and the options come up, you definitely need to pay attention to the prices next to each option as well as if the “option” is truly what you think it is. Just be smart about it and you can really find some serious steals. I will say this: Geek, Wish and other associated apps/sites: Crack down on these unethical sellers and actually make/enforce rules to keep them more honest.
Not as good as they let on to be
First, this app should NOT be rated for age 4+ due to them selling adult items that a child can easily access. I have ordered many items through this app since the beginning of the year. At the start, delivery was good and fairly quick compared to their time estimates. Now, three months later, items late on delivery are more and more frequent. I am currently waiting on an item due in January and keep being told to wait longer. I have had ONE item from an order arrive and the entire order would be marked as having been received after that ONE item was marked received with no way to change it. When contacting customer service about it, I was told to contact the local post office myself to see where it is. I am still waiting on an item that was marked as arrived after having received the REST of the order, but not it. It hasn’t shown up. All items are sent individually, so it is insanity trying to keep track of what items from an order have been received. Some items have been of good quality while others are defective. For one item, I had ordered PINK and they sent me BLACK! How do you mess up that? Thankfully, I was able to send a picture showing the wrong color and was refunded for that one. You are taking your chances on which you will get. The longer this goes, the less impressed I become with this operation.
I love Geek
I’ve bought many items from clothes, jackets, hair clips, jewelry and jeans... I love everything I’ve bought. I’ve only had one item break after the second time I’ve worn it and I’ve had 2 small rings that haven’t been received, but these are minor things compared to the great items I’ve ordered and received. I know if I would’ve pushed the issue regarding the rings I didn’t receive, Geek would’ve taken care off the issue. I didn’t make a complaint because at $2.00 for shipping and the items were “free” it wasn’t worth it to me. I’ve learned that if I order small items like that, it’s better to separate them from bigger items or a large order. Also always check your packages when you order a top and a ring (for example) because I’ve found that the rings or small items are in the same package as the top and they could be tossed in the trash without your knowing it.. Thank you Geek. I’ve been very happy with the items that really counted to me and I recommend you to anyone I can .
