We are the first tech platform personalizing climate change and collectively cleaning our air.
Rising levels of air-polluting gases are contributing to the greenhouse effect. Temperatures are rising and this affects global weather patterns. With Geme.io you can combat this, starting somewhere familiar and easy - your street.
Geme.io is the only urban tech app displaying real-time, air pollution data on a shared, virtual map. The data is highly specific, communicating pollution levels at a street level and available on your mobile as well as library TV monitors and public places that use our web app. Data is captured with our groundbreaking, on-body and on-collar wearable sensors and then uploaded to the Geme.io virtual and shared map. App users can pin their own points of interest and receive air pollution level alerts (work, home, kindergarten, etc.) or in their general vicinity.
Besides visualizing real-time air pollution, we are working with scientists to show predicted air pollution information 48 hours ahead of time surrounding the user’s points of interests on our virtual map.
Geme.io uses your location to monitor air pollution, but the continued use of the GPS running in the background might decrease battery life.
