Geofinder - Find my friends ٤+

I love this app because I can keep up with my family while they are away or on the go. It tells me the speed of the car to make sure the teenagers are driving safe. It also has a “driving safe mode” and a “wreck detector mode” on the app when you upgrade which is also another good thing about the app it’s really cheap to upgrade and all the upgrades come with better features and more things you can see. This app alerts me when my husband arrives and leaves any place I mark on the map but without the upgrade it will only allow you to get alerts with 2 locations you have marked on the map with the upgrade you get the option to get alerts with more then one location which is a lot better. I don’t use the app to spy on my husband or kids I use it for their safety and to know they are okay when they leave our home. I highly recommend this app! I do have one downer about this app the locations of your peers do not work while their “save battery mode” is on or if they don’t have service or WiFi and if their phone needs to be charged once the battery gets to low then it want work as well but it will alert you to remind them to charge their phone. You can also message them on the app and react like “love” or “thumbs down” on their location. One more thing that I love is it also tells you their route and the locations they have been the whole week. I hope everyone enjoys the app like my family does!

Everyone worries, it’s a natural ‘thing’. Geofinder brings some peace of mind. I originally installed it for my own tracking and invited my daughter and closest friend. I was working long hours, using mass transit, and tired. In general I was worried that I might not always make the best decision and/or get caught up in some sort of chaos in NYC. Knowing that someone could track me, at least know where my phone was gave me a little more sense of security.
I won’t lie... I did watch after my daughter. She was in college in NY and living the life of a young person. Like I didn’t know what a college student does and what hours of the day!!!... please, of course. But, Geofinder did not jeopardize our trust because neither of us abused the privilege it provided and the additional safety we felt. Not everyone will, can or should have the boundaries I have with my oldest daughter. As with everything and with all technology... it is what you make of it and how it is used. For me, I really like Geofinder.

This app is a great tool to stay connected and I find comfort knowing I can find any member of my family if and when it were needed and can alert others if I was in trouble. I have had this app on my phone since I was 17 (I am now in my mid twenties). My parents explained they didn’t want to track me, they just wanted to be able to know where I was or had been in the event I go missing, was kidnapped, or was in an accident, etc. As with everything it must be used responsibly and it is up to Parents/Guardians/Users to not misuse it and lose trust in others. But this app is great and I’m glad it’s around. Open communication is key with an app like this being added to children’s devices, explain why and help them understand, it goes a long way (I know this from experience with my parents).
