GeoFS - Flight Simulator 4+

Awesome graphics/buildings just needs a lot more work

Love the realistic dense world wide buildings/skyscrapers in game. Best of all mobile flight sims. However the sim needs a lot more to be desired for example a better interface to fly, better night lighting, Optimized graphics, More planes and liveries. wish a couple mobile sims could collaborate and or combine features into one sim. Or even implement different features from one another that are needed. Like this sim’s buildings and HD satellite imagery into Aerofly. And infinite flight’s navigation system. I see a lot of potential here. Hope to see more updates soon!

Great sim! Suggestions

I first used Geo-FS on a desktop computer and was really impressed. When I found out that the developer was creating an iOS friendly version of the sim I got really excited.

This sim is pretty incredible for something that you can use on a mobile device. There’s a very wide variety of aircraft to choose from to include some unique models that I haven’t seen in many sims (ex: alpha jet, motorized glider, hot air balloon, EC-135 helicopter). You can fly these any where on earth. In addition, the multiplayer is awesome as are features such as real world weather and weather effects like ridge lift in mountainous areas.

The default terrain across the globe has a decent resolution and the HD terrain is super detailed. The dev provides a free trial for HD terrain and I highly recommend trying Geo-FS.

To make the mobile sim better, it would be great if you could add some features from the desktop version such as the wind direction icon and the ability to create a flight route in map view (would help a lot for navigation).

In terms of aircraft, it would be cool if another sailplane is added that doesn’t have a motor and has a yaw string on the canopy.

Overall this mobile sim is outstanding just like the desktop version. Thanks for taking the time to read this, 5 stars well deserved. Keep up the great work!

PROS:

GeoFS is a realistic flight simulator and has great potential for a web browser flight simulator, the new SR scenery brings counteract to complaint and the wide access to aircraft that are both developer and community contributed is also very nice. Especially when the models are all free. The official GeoFS aircraft also have highly detailed cockpits, exteriors, interiors and more. For a web browser based flight simulator, this is revolutionary.

CONS:

Anything has it’s flaws.
Moving your camera in Chase/Free cams, is very difficult and really needs improvement. There is a 403 bad gateway for this app which is questionable and makes the app completely useless. This is an app primarily based off of website “emulation”. Which can be very buggy, especially in a mobile app. The UI is very large and hunched together too much, the screen compatability proportions are not okay, resulting in a white area on the side of the screen, the sound system for free/chase cams is very very bad and needs improvement. Some aircraft need remodels, bring back the MD-11.

CONCLUSION:

GeoFS offers realistic scenery, physics, and aircraft models. But, like any app, it has its set of flaws. 6.5-10
