Normally, I take no issue with ads in a free game. Devs need and deserve to be paid for their work, just like everyone else. Advertising is one way to get revenue. If I decide to keep a game, I will *absolutely* pay— to not sit thru ads, yes— but moreover to support development.

But this requires me determining I LIKE it… and the ads here are SO IMMEDIATELY PERVASIVE, it’s impossible to evaluate. Halfway thru the first screen of nine puzzles, while I’m still trying to figure out what I’m supposed to be doing, and why, I’m being interrupted 1-3 times for ads PER PUZZLE!

The better games, regardless of genre, tend to be ad-free or have minimal ads for the first tier or so— for this reason! Give players a chance to get into it, or you’ll be just shooting yourselves in the foot.

Most likely I’ll delete it before actually developing an opinion. Lose/lose.

ps) Btw: app title is currently “gameios”😑
