Great puzzle game, but the ads are too much.

To start off, I think this is an excellent puzzle game. The environment felt interconnected, and had a lot of variety in its puzzle elements, asking for a lot of back and forth with remembering light patterns and keypad numbers. It’s not common for mobile puzzle games.

I’ve read a lot of reviews about how they were cheated out of the full experience, expecting the the entire game to be free to play. With the $2 pay wall offered at the beginning, it felt odd to me that this would be what most games are. I feel that if the game itself was $1.99 people would be less upset about the in-app purchase, even thought most users would be turned off by the price tag.

Despite that financial hiccup, the game is very polished and was a joy to play from beginning to end. My favorite part was the rather clever reference to “Please don’t touch anything” near the end of the game. The puzzles themselves were well thought out and not too terribly difficult to figure out if you look hard enough. I do feel it was a little short, but maybe it’s because I enjoy puzzle games a lot. If your team were to design another puzzle game similar to this, I expect it to be just as good as this one!

Beautiful Graphics, Gameplay Okay.

I love finding new puzzle games and apps that aren’t brought to the hot front page of app stores. There’s something really liberating about this game. It’s beautiful animations, colors, and quirky art style lend a hand to help immerse the player in its setting. I find that the 3 plane view is quite refreshing, although quite small (even though i am playing on an XS). It was pesky to tap around even though my fingers were quite small.
The gameplay was quite confusing on my end. I felt as if the non linear path is a mostly unseen part of puzzle games. This game executed that part perfectly. I found that many puzzles were so hard to understand, and saw myself looking at the hints multiple times to try to wrap my head around such complicated and tricky puzzles. I would not have known that the board in the workroom was such a key element if it were not for the hints. The multiple clues scattered through the bar to unlock the safe were very small too. I used hints for that too. I pride myself in not using hints on games but i felt as if i had no choice but to in this instance. I would more accurately give this game a 3.6/5 rating. Much to appreciate, and much to improve on with future games, still very fun to play though.

Awesome, short game, unless you pay

Amazing game concept, the puzzles are complex in the way that you have to connect different rooms and objects with different puzzles meaning one tool is used for a puzzle in another room. I loved the idea that one side of the room gives you a different perspective that might have a hidden key or something. It makes you feel smart when you do figure it out, and I like the idea that the ads were not pop ups but in the paper. I think that’s way better than them randomly popping up. I do think that maybe a storyline, or some Easter eggs could make this game more interesting. I didn’t buy the full version, but I enjoyed the small bit while it lasted. One question ...what did the bottles at the bar do? Opening the circular window, did it do anything?

TLDR: well made puzzle map, intricate, simple, but complex in using multiple perspective and tools in different rooms, kinda of fast game, mechanics are cool. Could work on making it more interesting.
