Use Ghar for Hindu calendar, vrat, fasting days, puja, chalisa, aarti, shloka meanings, panchang, festivals, and calm home practice.
Ghar helps families practice Hindu rituals at home with calm, step by step guidance. Use it for morning puja, evening aarti, shlokas, japa, panchang, festival preparation, life events, and learning.
The app is built for household practice, not just reading. Start a short daily ritual, follow a guided prayer, read a full chalisa or aarti, learn the meaning of a shloka, and keep your family rhythm close.
Features include:
Daily practice cards
Guided puja and aarti flows
Full reader prayers and meanings
Japa counters
Shloka of the day and archive
Panchang and calendar guidance
Festival preparation runways
Home mandir and family practice support
Hindi and English language options
Ghar is designed for people who want a respectful, practical way to keep Hindu practice present at home.
I’m a Xennial (between Gen X and Milennial), born and raised in the US, and I’ve always enjoyed spiritual practice but not felt like I truly ever know was is going on, could replicate a practice unless my mom is with me, and even then, I want he underlying meaning of what I’m doing and to understand it for the actual spiritual practice. This app has been amazing for the few days I’ve had it and I really applaud the maker. Thank you! It’s bringing a lot of groundedness to my day.
Connects me back to my roots
shreshthasharma
Living so far away from home and family, this app has made me reconnect with all the parts I love about my culture as a Hindu and Indian. Rituals and practices made so easy to understand and follow by myself. I’m so glad I came across this app
Everything I needed
Renneprincess
I never followed rituals closely when I was doing with parents. Now I live alone and realized I did not know things in depth. This app makes me do it and not just read or watch. I love it.
Incomplete Shlokas
Nims_20
Great attempt however This app is not multi user friendly. It supports only a few Indian Languages. The Daily Shlokas are mostly Incomplete. I deleted the App!
Developer Response
Thank you for the feedback. A few clarifications for anyone reading. On the shlokas, they're intentionally short. A shloka by definition is a single verse, not a full text. Selecting one verse for daily reflection is a standard practice, not a sign of incompleteness. Each one in Ghar includes the Sanskrit, transliteration, and English meaning in full.On Indian languages, current version supports English and Hindi. Tamil, Gujarati, and others are planned but I can't realistically ship in every Indian language at once as a solo developer. On multi-user, Ghar does support household sharing through Family profiles, up to 6 people with separate tradition preferences. That setup just isn't visible by default in the single-user flow, which is on me to surface better.Hope this is useful context. Thanks for trying it.
Improved App Store screenshots and clearer home-practice guidance across calendar, puja, prayers, festivals, and Learn, plus continued polish for readability and navigation.
