Besides the fact that I can’t seem to put it down, “GhostControl Inc.” fulfills my childhood fantasy of running my very own ghost hunting business nicely. - Vincent Paone, Dad's Gaming Addiction, Full review:

There’s one word that continues to come to mind the more I play GhostControl Inc.: Charming. This game has an undeniable charm that oozes from the fantastic pixel art, silly wording, and simple but tough strategy elements. As long as you’re willing to go broke a few times, there’s tons of fun to be had while playing. Go forth and exterminate ghosts! - Markus Estrada,, Full review:
Manage a team of ghosthunters and free London from paranormal terror in turn-based battles. Develop your own strategy and build your business well.

Let's be honest - a ghost in your house can be a real pest. For centuries we have accepted hauntings as unexplained phenomena which we can do little to stop. Side affects of living in a haunted home can include sleepless nights, headaches, smog everywhere and in some cases even physical damage in the house.

Enough is enough, with your help we intend to put an end to these paranormal pests. Build, manage and develop your own team of talented ghost hunters.

With the income from your team's work you can equip them with some amazing gadgets, but manage your budget with care not everything is as useful as it may appear. Hunt your customers ghosts down - property damage should be kept to a minimum. Take on the ghosts, follow the map, take in the lovely sites and stunning landmarks.

Once I got used to it and get the hang of it, I enjoyed it.

This game is a neat take on the ghostbusting game genre. (I loved Luigi’s Mansion and the Ghostbusters on xbox360) In this game you are competeing with computerized ghostbusting teams for jobs and money you get calls for at various locations in the city of London. You are the leader of a ghostbusting team. You hire fellow hunters, buy equipment and vehicles, train your team, and heal your team. You can upgrade your headquarters, equipment through research, and get more skill with more battles or training in the training room. You travel to locations and shops by clicking on the icons on the map. The battles are turn based much like a Final Fantasy type game.

The things I liked about the game are getting new equipment and trying to find the best fit for your battle stragey when you have to fight in close range or far range from the target. I liked hose there were objectives to do and there is a clear end to the game. While there is no “ending” once you beat the final boss you can keep fighting ghosts or choose another city - but for some reason I can’t get anything but London. I enjoyed some of the quirkiness the game brings, it made it fun for me.

My ratings based on a scale of 1 to 5:

Gameplay @@@@ (Once the ghosts start becoming more powerful - it becomes more fun)
Graphics @@ (graphics could be better and many of the locations are just reused constantly)
Ease of controls @@@@ (playing on a laptop it is very much point and click though sometimes it’s easy to ciick wrong)
Game Difficulty @@@ (On a normal setting it wasn’t difficult but I didn’t succeed in every mission - somes ghosts and houses were difficult, there is a setting for a harder diffculty level)
Length of Game @@@ (it took me a few weeks or so to complete)
Fun Factor @@@ (I enjoyed the ghostbusting, battle strategy in different settings, and the different equipment capabilities)

Overall, It was satisfying for me especially since there is a clear end to the game, I like that about games. I wish there was more an “ending” but as mentinoed you can continue to keep playing and fighting ghosts once the final objective is reached. I didn’t do the tutorial so I learned eveything as I went along - that made it fun for me too. It took me 3/4 of the game before I realized I could sell back my weaker weapons to the weapons shop (drag and drop). It took me 1/2 the game to figure out how the training room worked. (click on the hunter and skill then click on the amount of stars and press train) But otherwise, everything else was mostly self explanitory.

I absolutly love it!

If you love a turn-based games that is like an X-Com lite in strategy and love ghost busting you will find this game charming and humorous!

I bought this game because it was relatively cheap, and to kill some time. I played for about an hour and realized it was a very silly, and unsatisfying game with no redeeming quality, strategy, or fun. Would not recommend to anyone….
