We’re always looking for ways to make Givi easier to use! This time we’ve focused on logging in and setting max bids (along with a few other goodies). In this release:

- When receiving the ticket via SMS, log in will happen with OTP rather than the Login or Set Password screens
- OTP can now be used for attendees with active accounts, not just pending accounts
- We’ve updated the interface for setting a max bid to make it easier to find and use
- Adding a payment method now displays only the payment method types accepted by the organization

Missing tech

The registration is overly cumbersome. I already have a QR code linked to my account but I cannot scan within the app to register me. There also is no camera scanning function to register a credit card. Minor updates to your technology could make this product much easier for folks who are donating money to a charity.

Frustrating - was never able to set up

Three IT folks and I spent 40 minutes trying to get the app to move past the Continue button when adding my info. Reinstalled twice to no avail. Was able to set up my partner’s app except when putting in the payment details, the app crashed and none of the info was retained. So much time wasted when we could have been enjoying the event instead. We finally gave up and deleted the app on both phones.

Major bummer

For some reason the app quit working so I deleted and downloaded again. To make a long story short, there must not be a way for the app to tell if the same person created multiple accounts, so I ended up bidding against myself! Glad I figured it out when I did, but if I win any items in this auction, I’ll end up paying way more than I should’ve.
