Gladys 4+

This unobtrusive app is simple and elegant while packing a whollup. It doesn’t try to do too much, but what it does, it does extremely well. I have been wanting an app that can be a visual temporary “holding pin” for things I am working on. Like a “shelf”. Sure you can use your desktop, but mine is always clutterred. I have to constanly upload and send ads for digital advertising out of email and then upload them…. this makes it so much easier, but there are many uses for this app. Great for collating things you might want to group together and not have to create a new folder in Finder etc.

The home run is the companion iOS app. Now I can easily move things to my phone and vice-versa whereas I used to use Apple notes.

The only thing I can think of that might make this even better is a “tabbed” inteface where you could have multiple spaces to group things. But that might complicate things and dilute the simple elegance of the app.

This app shows this is a caring developer as it is well thought out. Like someone else said, I would have paid $10 for this app over just .99 cents.

I use both Gladys and Yoink!, although they do the same things, they do differ in a few imporant ways and one is often a better tool than the other for a particular reason.

For me, Gladys on MacOS is primary a companion app to Gladys on iOS. I use it when I need to save things temporarily, and have them available across devices.

Gladys is super useful on iOS due to that OS's various artificial limitations, and if you are not using it there, you should be.

Under $2 to covers both iOS & macOS, and really does simplify your workflow if you are regularly capturing temporary files, urls, images and especially if you want to move them easily across devices.

If I had a wish list for Gladys on macOS, it would be that it copied Yoink's UX of appearing when an items is dragged and staying on the sceen in the corner while it has items in it. It's a nice clean experience.

I'd also like an option for a more simplified experience for items stored in Gladys. There has never been a time when I've needed to see the different data components of something I've sent to Gladys; an option to open the actual item on double-click, instead of opening the component/label/note window would be nice.

I am beyond thrilled that this app has made it to MacOS with iCloud sync. I thought Yoink would be the first to implement the sync-able cross-platform clipboard/dropper but Gladys is the first to market.
THANK YOU for building this. Would have gladly paid $10 or more for this functionality. Would love to see MenuBar integration or a hot-zone-type drag region in the future.
