In Go, joseki (定石 jōseki?) are studied sequences of moves in the corner areas of the Go board, for which the result is considered balanced for both black and white sides. Because games typically start with plays in the corners, players often try to use their understanding of joseki to gain local advantages in the corners — advantages which can in turn make for a better overall position. Though less common, there are also joseki for the middle game. In Japanese, 定 (jō) means "fixed" or "set" and 石 (seki) means stones, giving the literal meaning "set stones", as in "set pattern". In Chinese, the term for joseki is 定式, dìngshì.

Meh. It’s expensive for what the “free” parts offer
You are given a board and it labels all the intersections around the star point where black has played. On the left there’s a huge wall of text explaining what each play will mean, and which moves are Joseki and which are not, and which are not very strong plays to respond to black’s position.
I give this 3 stars because while it’s not bad, it’s also not what I was hoping it would be. The first example isn’t quite enough to sell it to me.
An awesome app!
What can I say? This app is amazing! Really does help you learn Joseki! I bought the premium version of this app and I couldn’t be happier. I recommend this app to anyone who is interested in Go. It will sure come in handy when practicing/learning Joseki.
