GoCar is Ireland’s first Car Sharing company and is part of the Europcar Mobility Group, providing members with access to cars and vans all across Ireland. From rental as short as 30 minutes GoCar is the ideal alternative to owning a car, or equally ideal for the SME to save on leasing vehicles. Now introducing GoCar by Europcar across the Europcar network, a car rental product that enables customers to bypass the desk, go directly to their car and drive away.

Good service
The car was exactly where the app said it would be. The app opened the car easily. Not having to pay for parking on the street in Galway City (a perk I only became aware of through an Irish friend who’s used GoCar) was a brilliant, unexpected benefit. There was a bit of confusion about the mileage feature that drew me in but GoCar honored it. While it is considerably less expensive than renting a car (insurance is where standard car rentals get you) it isn’t cheap. I’d use GoCar again.
No answer
We rented a car that was empty on charge when we picked it up. Upon returning there were issues with parking/charging and we rang the line for assistance more than five times with no answer. We even called the emergency line multiple times and received no answer. We then received a ridiculous charge and the company refuses to answer any emails or calls.
Cannot sign up with everyone-mail address for that has special characters.
Was looking forward to trying this app out in Ireland, but could not register due to an underscore on my e-mail account address.
